NEW students gathered at Charles
Darwin University’s Casuarina
Campus for the annual Orientation
Week. The event, known
informally as O-Week, is a chance
for newcomers to get used to the
campus and find out what
facilities, clubs and opportunities
are available at the uni before
classes start.

Webb’s wild book
is a beast of a thing

LEADING Territory zoologist and esteemed
conservationist Grahame Webb was joined
by his wife Giovanna and several Darwin
personalities to launch his controversial new
book, Wildlife Conservation: In the Belly of
the Beast, at Government House earlier this
week. Dr Webb is a worldwide authority on
crocodile management and spent the best
part of the last 11 years working on the book,
which he concedes will cause controversy.
