Monday, October 12
Arrive London (Gatwick) at 7:20am.
Clear
Immigration, collect bags and transfer by
private coach to Heathrow Airport for connecting
flight VS 8221 departing at 9:00pm.
Tuesday, October 13
Arrive Cape Town at 10:05am. Clear Immigration
and customs and transfer to the Commodore Hotel
or similar. Day at your leisure to relax or simply
explore the shops at the Waterfront. Dinner and a
welcome drink.
Wednesday, October 14
Breakfast. Depart for a historical tour through
Cape Town.
Visit the Castle, District Six
Museum, the Company Gardens, Malay Quarters;
travel up the Table-Mountain for a birds eye view
over the most beautiful city in Africa (weather
permitting). Drive up to Signal Hill to view the
city. Relax and enjoy a g lass of
champagne / Fruit juice. Afternoon at your
leisure.
Thursday, October 15
Breakfast. Explore the Waterfront before boarding
the shuttle across the Atlantic Ocean to visit
the “World Cultural Heritage Site”-Robben Islandthe Prison Island, where Nelson Mandela was
incarcerated for a period of 18 Years of his 27
years imprisonment. Return to the Waterfront, this
is a serious shopper’s paradise. After shopping,
take the complimentary shuttle back to your hotel.
Friday, October 16
Breakfast. Depart the hotel for a full day tour to
the Cape of Good Hope - Cape Point , where the
Indian-Atlantic Ocean have their rendezvous, all
along the Cape Peninsula. En route - the penguin
colony at the boulders - a boat ride at Houtbay to
visit a colony of Cape fur seals. Check the
coastline for the biggest mammals that visit South
Africa’s coastline every year - the Southern Right
Whales. Drive up Chapmans Peak (if open), for a
view of Houtbay. Visit the semi precious stone
factory - biggest in the world. Lunch at the Two
Oceans / Black Marlin restaurant (own expense).
Return to the Commodore hotel via Rhodes drive.
Saturday, October 17
Breakfast. Drive through the traditional
township of the African people-Khayelitsha.
Experience the life of the indigenous people of
Africa. Continue through to visit Stellenbosch, the
most beautiful city in South Africa with its
Victorian and Cape Dutch Architecture. Visit a
Cheetah breeding camp at the Spier Wine Estate.
Return to the hotel at 5:30pm.

Sunday, October 18
Breakfast. Leave Cape Town via Somerset West
Strand and along the “Riviera of the Cape “ to
Hermanus-The Whale Mecca of the World, the
best land based Whale spotting in the World. Then
on to Mosselbay, where the first European
Explorers, Bartholomew Dias, went ashore in
1488. Have a historical tour through the town,
and then continue to your Hotel, along the shores
of the Indian Ocean. Dinner included.
Monday, October 19
Breakfast. Depart over the Outeniqua Mountains
to the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich
Farm, for a tour through the Safari / Highgate
Show Ranch - a ride on the fastest animal on two
legs, in the world. Have lunch at the Ostrich
Farm, speciality Ostrich Steaks (included). Visit
the Cango Caves (optional), the most beautiful
Stalactite, Stalagmites dripstone caves in the
world. The Cheetah/Crocodile Ranch-(optional).
Return to your Hotel at the Wilderness.
Tuesday, October 20
Breakfast Depart for an unforgettable ride over
five lakes, five rivers, two estuaries through the
Wilderness to Knysna (if the Outeniqua Choo
Tjoe is running). Visit the Garden of Eden,
continue on to Plettenberg Bay, the “Pearl of the
Garden Route”. Check for dolphins in the Bay then continue through Natures Valley into the
Tsitsikamma Rain Forest, visit some of the giants
of the Forrest; the Big Yellow Wood trees.
Check out the World Record Bungee Jump at the
Bloukrans River Bridge. We continue the
journey along the shores of the Indian Ocean
towards Port Elizabeth, overnight
in the
Courtyard / Brookhills Hotel, overlooking the
Indian Ocean (dinner is at own expense).
Wednesday, October 21
Breakfast. Early Morning departure to Addo
Elephant National Park, the Wildlife Sanctuary
that prides itself on having the densest
population of Elephants anywhere in the World
between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown.
Become part of this Wildlife Sanctuary and let
Nature take over; enjoy the day in this unique
“African Bush”. Afternoon drive through the
wilderness at Schotia Private Game Reserve,
indulge in the “National Geographic’s Dream”
and watch Lions prepare on the hunt. Watch all
this from your open Four Wheel drive Land
rovers; a truly unforgettable experience!
Close off this eventful day with a true African
Feast, a Boma dinner in the Bush under the
African Sky (dinner included). Travel back to
Port Elizabeth and your Courtyard/Brookhills
Hotel.
Thursday, October 22
Breakfast. Depart for the Port Elizabeth
Airport and your flight to Johannesburg at
10:20am, arriving at 11:55am. Drive to your
hotel Holiday Inn Garden Court located in the
middle of Sandton, the business district of
Johannesburg and a shoppers paradise.
Rest of the day is at leisure to explore on own.
Friday, October 23
Breakfast. Leave your hotel, en route through
the commercial capital of Africa the city of
gold, “Egoli”, a visit to Soweto, the biggest
settlement of indigenous people of South Africa
Visit former President Mandela’s home, the
only street in the world where two Nobel Prize
winners stayed. Visit other historical places of
the “Struggle against the Apartheid” before
returning to your Hotel in Sandton.
Saturday, October 24
Breakfast Today you visit Lesedi, “The
Cradle of the Living African Culture”. You
will be given a traditional African welcome and
then escorted to your African Village. Once
comfortable, you’ll discover the many colourful
and fascinating aspects of the People of Lesedi
(Zulu, Basutho, Xhosa and Pedi). As the sun
sets over the African bush you are escorted to
the Boma for traditional singing and dancing.
You are then treated to a Pan African Buffet
in the Nyama Restaurant, after which you
will be taken back to your place of rest.
Sunday, October 25
Having been woken by the sounds of traditional
maskande guitar and squash box, you indulge in
a scrumptious breakfast, before departing for

Pilanesberg National Park. Stay for two nights
in Pilanesberg - Kwa Maritane, place of the
Rock / Bakubung and place of the Hippo, in the
Pilanesberg National Park. This is a Wildlife
Sanctuary recreated in the fashion of Genesis

Early Pre-Dawn Game drive through the “Big
Five” Wilderness created on an extinct
Volcano. Enjoy the African Bush atmosphere,
in search of the most unusual animals, like the
Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard,
perhaps the elusive Cheetah, the fastest animal
on earth. Relax in the afternoon, or an optional
visit of Sun / Lost City; have fun in this fantasy
world of casinos and pleasure/theme Park, try
your luck with Fortuna. Indulge in a typical
African feast, a traditional “Braai” (BBQ)
around the fire. Overnight in the same Lodge.
Tuesday, October 27
This morning, after breakfast, you say goodbye
to the wilderness and leave the Park at 11:00am
en route to Oliver Tambo International Airport,
lunch (own expense). There is some time for
shopping (if you wish). Arrive at the airport
around 5:00pm. Depart on Virgin Atlantic
flight VS 602 at 8:30pm to London.
Wednesday, October 28
Arrive Heathrow Airport at 6:50am. Clear
immigration, collect bags and board your
private coach for the journey over to Gatwick
Airport for departure to Barbados on VS 029 at
10:00am, arriving home at 1:45pm.
