The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council™) label identifies paper (fiber) that comes from an environmentally and socially
responsible source. To use the FSC® label on a product (i.e. publication), your printer must have a Chain of Custody
certification. Only a certified printer is allowed to place the logo on a printed piece and they must receive trademark
approval. Velocity prepress departments will place the appropriate logo on the product and submit for approval. Velocity
can provide you with FPO artwork.

FSC Labels may be used in portrait or landscape versions. There are now Full size versions and Mini versions
Minimum size for the Full portrait label is 17 mm in width
Minimum size for the Full landscape label is 12mm in height
There shall be enough clear space surrounding the label to ensure that the label remains uncluttered. The minimum
space is calculated by using the height of the FSC initials of the logo.
• Colors - Pantone 626C, CMYK, Black
• MINI label - When there are space limitations, the mini label may be used. Minimum size of the portrait mini label is
11mm in width. Minimum size of the landscape mini label is 8mm in height.

RAC - Rainforest Alliance Seal

• The Rainforest Alliance Certified Seal can be sized in accordance with the FSC label or
promotional panel as long as it is clearly visible when printed.
• Clear space around the seal should be approximately 20% of the width of the seal.
• The RAC seal may not be used alone.
• Colors: Pantone 625 green, Black

Wind Logo
The wind logo communicates that the printing of the project was performed at a facility
purchasing 100% wind energy. It has no association with FSC.
• The logo is available in color and black. Other colors upon special approval. Size is flexible.
• Customers can use the wind logo on their printed pieces to support their environmental mission.
• Velocity has purchased RECs - Renewable Energy Certificates to offset our electrical usage.

When renewable energy is produced, a REC is created parallel to the actual electricity. One REC is
equal to 1 MWh of renewable energy. RECs represent the environmental benefits achieved when
conventional fuel sources like coal, oil or natural gas are displaced in favor of a clean energy
source, like wind power. REC prices make up the cost difference between the higher price of clean
energy and lower price of conventional power. RECs enable clean energy to become more cost
competitive and financially sustainable.
