Library Card Sign-Up Month: Sign Up & Drive
The Carol Stream Library is
celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month
in September. Drive over and sign-up,
renew, or refer a friend and be entered
into a drawing for weekly drivingrelated prizes: gas cards, drive-thru
restaurants, oil changes, car washes,
driving ranges and more!
Feel like you’re spinning your
wheels? Your Library card gives you
access to thousands of books, movies,
and CDs to engage your mind. At
a roadblock? Use your library card
to check out downloadable eBooks
and audiobooks for your commute.
Navigate our website for access to all of
our eResources. Kids driving you crazy?
The Library has lots of programs and
materials to entertain them too.
Cards are issued to Carol Stream
residents at no charge upon presentation
of a signed application and two forms of
identification. One must be a photo I.D.
and one must supply both the name and
current address of the applicant. A parent
or legal guardian must sign a child’s
application and supply the required
verification of residency in person.
Already have a Library card? If you
refer a friend or renew your card, you
will be eligible for prizes too. So drive to
the Library and get your card today!

to tackle this daunting challenge alone.
Cliff Morgan of U.S. College Planning will
help you find ways to make paying for
college more affordable. Morgan will show
you ways to reduce the overall cost of a
college education, including maximizing
your need-based financial aid eligibility,
targeting the right colleges for merit-based
financial aid, and exploring tax-savings
opportunities. The presentation will
also help you understand the financial
aid system. Several options — including
scholarships, grants, and student loans
— are available to families of all income
levels. Start planning now before you begin
filling out financial aid forms.
