Completed in 1973, Lake Conroe was constructed by the San Jacinto River Authority
as a water supply reservoir. Today Lake Conroe offers a wide variety of entertainment,
recreation, rental and lodging options for residents and visitors.

This recreation provider offers group and
individual boat rides for those looking
to tour Lake Conroe. Powered by riders
themselves, who sit around a center
table on bicycle-like seats and paddle to
power the rear paddle wheel, the boat’s
destination and the tour’s activities are
determined by the paddlers. Boats can
also be booked for all-day events.

HYDRO-ROCKETS
Thrill-seekers can take flight on jet packs
with equipment from Hydro-Rockets.
Renters can choose from the Flyboard,

Riverboat cruises through Southern
Empress Cruises allow customers to dine
and enjoy entertainment while floating on a
Victorian-style boat on the lake. Cocktail,
lunch and dinner cruises are available on
the triple-decker vessel as well as options
for private or corporate events.

Water lovers who do not own boating
equipment can rent anything from a
WaveRunner to a party barge at NautiDayz. The smaller equipment, including
personal watercrafts and ski boats, can
be rented in one-, four- or eight-hour
increments, but the party barge must be
rented for at least three hours. Each rental
pays for fuel and life jackets for each
person at no extra charge. A two-hour
minimum is required for ski or pontoon

Lake Conroe visitors can rent lake
front condos, personal watercrafts, ski
boats and pontoon boats from Resort
Attractions, which is headquartered at
Seven Coves Resort and Marina. The
pontoon boats can seat as many as 14
people while the ski boats hold up to
eight. The business also offers one- and
two-bedroom condo rental models. Resort
Attractions offers package deals for
customers interested in multiple services.
