Pay attention to the way the verb GUSTAR works. Unlike other regular –ar
verbs, GUSTAR is conjugated in a different way. Can you come up with a rule?
Make sure your rule answers the following questions:
- How do you tell who likes something?
- How many conjugations of the verb gustar are there?
- How does the “noun/action being liked” affect the conjugation?

Paso 3. Translate the following passage into Spanish. Pay attention to the verb GUSTAR.
Well, I like to play soccer; I like to play tennis, I like, well, to exercise in general.
I like soccer the most because there are more people to play with, in soccer, than
in tennis. And well, I like tennis too, when there is someone to play with.
OJO: In Spanish, sentences cannot end with a preposition!

poesía o leer novelas. Y paso la mayor parte del tiempo con un libro cuando estoy

un libro conmigo. Pero también me gusta mucho cocinar porque uno de mis
sueños es tener más adelante un restaurante de comida criolla ecuatoriana. Y
