siblings would create a newsletter
featuring Top Agent of the Month
for his Dad’s independent brokerage
“Castillo Group Realty.”
It’s no surprise Hector, who comes from a family of
REALTORS® would have a successful real estate
practice at just 24 years old. “I always admired the real
estate industry,” he adds. “Seeing my Dad buy investment properties and manage the renovations was my
favorite.”
Hector, whose father is the Regional Owner of EXIT
Realty Downstate NY and mother lists and sells at
EXIT Realty Success, earned his license at just 21.
Since then, he has worked and learned from some of
the industry's top agents and coaches to enhance his
understanding of the market and all aspects of real
estate. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work in
this industry,” he says. Hector grew up experiencing
the Real Estate business indirectly while his parents
worked and operated their family owned Real Estate
Company in NY.
Despite his real estate connections, Hector faced some
challenges starting out at such a young age, which he
overcame. “I honed in and focused on what I was
doing and took training that would benefit me. The
more I’ve learned, the more confident I’ve become in
the services I offer and that has helped me build a
clientele,” he says.

What advice does Hector have for other young
REALTORS®? Create a hunting mindset & Build
confidence by educating yourself in your market. Take
extra training and find your niche so you can provide
the best service to your clients. Don’t listen to the cliché
that it takes six months to generate your first deal, he
advises. Set up a thirty-day action plan to generate one
contract, listing, or buyer client. Spend two hours a day
generating leads and develop your presence online and
in public by farming your market. People love to work
with those they love and trust, he adds.
The agent lends his motivational skills to help those in
the community, rallying his office to help 2 agents in
his office who had lost their home in a fire.
Collectively as an office, EXIT Realty Achieve hosted
a fundraiser in the office parking lot with over 100 in
attendance. The office raised $6,000 to provide shortterm assistance.
Where does Hector see himself five years for now? “I
see myself with three brokerages with 100 full time
agents per office, who love EXIT Realty. I want to
transform the real estate industry for years to come,
person by person, to become a more collaborative and
less cutthroat industry. “The impact that this would
create for the consumers will be incredible!” He
believes.
Hector believes that in order to generate business he
needs to generate leads, take offers and negotiate
deals, all while educating his clients. “This is what I
enjoy most,” he adds. He and listing partners prospect
consistently by contacting for sale by owners and
expired listings as well as door knocking the
neighborhood.
Hector specializes in residential, investment properties
& luxury homes with a thorough understanding of the
dynamics of the market. He prides himself in his
