Artwork Specifications
• Please supply original artwork in one of the following formats: Indesign CS, Quark Xpress 3.3/4.1, High Resolution PDF or Illustrator CS format for Mac / PC.
Do not supply artwork in file formats other than the software versions specified. (Adobe CS2 files also allowed)
• Please provide all fonts, images and logos necessary for output and all images must be converted to CMYK and supplied as JPEG (no compression), EPS or Tiff.
• 35mm Slides, 4” x 5” film, originals, etc. need to be scanned at a minimum of 4000dpi.
• Pre-scanned images need to be a minimum of 600dpi at 350mm width for portrait format and 600dpi at 750mm width for landscape format images.
• Please do not manually resize images to the specified widths above or resample images at a lower Resolution to 600dpi.
• If artwork is supplied in a MAC Format, please add PC file extensions ea. Quark Express (*.qxd), Illustrator (*.ai), Indesign (*.indd), etc..
• Please specify if cropping of images is not allowed for a 3.175mm (0.125”) bleed.
• Artwork & Image file sizes bigger than 10Mb needs to be supplied on CD-ROM, with a confirmation email

• Clients must include a colour PDF proof or JPEG as Contemporary will not produce proofs for pre-designed adverts. Additional hard copy proof is optional.
• You may also send film but there will be a digitising charge (see below). Film should be positive, right-reading, emulsion side down, 175 lpi with colour proof.
DIGITISING FILM CHARGE: if you send film there will be a $100 charge for copydot scanning a four colour set of film ($50 per separation).
RUSH CHARGE: $50 for any material received three days or more after deadline given. Cancellation Fee: 20% of the agreed price.
Clients will be billed for alterations to material which has been provided at the wrong size.
