From Sarajevo, the capital, to Neum on the Coast 8 DAYS Embark with us on a journey in which you will be hearing about the interesting history of this country. We will refer to the events leading to the start of World War I and the assassination in Sarajevo, and try to follow the development and disintegration of country after World War I, until its return to the world focus in the 1990s as an independent state on the Balkans. Today, Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the UN’s youngest members. In this journey you will see the fascinating nature, and feel two climate zones , the moderate continental climate in Bosnia and Mediterranean climate in Herzegovina. This journey connects the capital of BiH with Neum, the only BiH town on the Adriatic coast. Day 1 Arrival in Sarajevo Arrival in Sarajevo. Meet the team leader at the airport – transportation to the hotel. Welcome drink. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel. Day 2 Sarajevo Breakfast at the hotel. A guided tour of Sarajevo is a walk through its exciting history. Free time at Baščaršija, tasting ćevapčići or local specialties of your own choice. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner in a pleasant ambience of HS cavernous bar (Sarajevo Brewery, 1864). Sarajevsko light and dark beer served with dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel in Sarajevo BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA Sarajevo CROATIA Jablanica Konjic Mostar Neum Day 3 Sarajevo – Jahorina Today we return to the Austro-Hungarian period and the architectural heritage. Lunch on Jahorina (OG 1984) Mountain; light mountain walk after lunch. Visit to Sarajevo Tunnel of Hope in the afternoon. Dinner in one of Sarajevo’s restaurants. Overnight stay in the hotel in Sarajevo. Day 4 Mostar – Neum After breakfast and check-out, we drive along the Neretva canyon. Tour of Mostar and the Old Bridge, built in 1566 (UNESCO WHL). After difficult wartime years at the close of 20th century, Mostar now seems to be one of the most popular and most visited cities in the region. Lunch in the restaurant right beside the Old Bridge, the stunning view. Free time. The journey continues to Neum, the only BH town on the Adriatic coast. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel. Day 5 Free time Day for rest and activities of your own choice. Possibility to organize extra excursions to nearby places. In the evening, traditional dinner in a family-run farm. Return to the hotel late in the evening. Day 6 Trebinje Trebinje is among a few cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that can boast such a large number of heritage assets from the Austro-Hungarian period, from the imperial vineyards to the promenade under ancient sycamore trees. The walk Trebinje Dubrovnik ADRIATIC SEA through the city involves talking about a lyric poet and Serb nationalist, Jovan Dučić, the old town from the Ottoman period, the Museum of Herzegovina …. The walk ends with wine tasting in a wine cellar and lunch by the Trebišnjica. Free time and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Day 7 Dubrovnik A full-day tour of Dubrovnik, the southernmost city on the Croatian coast. The Old City has been hiding the mediaeval tales and intrigues within its walls for over 800 years. After a guided tour of the city, time is left for you to wander through its lanes and alleys on your own. Dinner and folklore in the hotel’s national restaurant. Day 8 Jablanica – Konjic – Sarajevo, Departure Breakfast. Depart Neum. On the way to Sarajevo, we visit the Museum of the Battle of Neretva (World War II) in Jablanica. Lunch in Konjic. Tour of Konjic and visit to the Woodcarving Museum of the Nikšić Family (established in 1927). We depart Konjic and head to Sarajevo Airport.
