2015 AAU Season
PLAYER INFORMATION
Dear Players and Families:
We will be holding tryouts for our AAU travel teams on Sunday, February 15, and March 8,
2015.
The times and age groups are as follows:
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm - Grades 5th - 8th
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm - Grades 9th - 12th
(Please note if you have a younger athlete whom you feel may be advanced to compete up an
age/grade bracket, they may also come and try out for consideration!)
There is no cost for this tryout. If you make a team, you will be notified via email, unless you
specify otherwise. There will be a mandatory meeting for all players and a parent once the
teams are determined. This is where we explain our program in detail and answer any questions
you may have. This is where and when the MEMBERSHIP FEE* is paid (see next page).
NOTE: Price can substantially subsidized with individual fundraising and sponsorship
effort.

Grades 5 - 8 (14U, 13U, 12U, 11U) (TENTATIVE)
March 21 & 22 -- Cortland Shootout, Cortland NY
April 11 & 12 -- Run ‘N Gun, Binghamton NY
May 2 & 3 -- AAU Niagara Qualifier, Seneca Falls NY
May 22 & 24 -- IEBC Memorial Day Classic, Ithaca NY
May 30 & 31 -- Nets Run The Floor, Ithaca NY
June 13 & 14-- Continental Cup Pre-Nationals Qualifier, Oswego NY
National Tournament: TBD
Grades 9 - 12 (18U, 17U, 16U, 15U) (TENTATIVE)
TOURNAMENTS SELECTED FOR MAXIMUM COLLEGE EXPOSURE (i.e. NCAA Certified =
open period = College Coaches Recruiting)
March 28 & 29 -- Johnson Hoopfest, Endwell NY
April 10 - 12 --Best of the Best (NCAA Certified), Virginia Beach, VA
April 24 - 26 -- King James Shooting Stars (NCAA Certified), Akron OH
May 22 - 24 -- IEBC Memorial Day Classic, Ithaca NY
June 12 - 14 -- Rumble in the Bronx, Bronx NY
Either: July 10 - 12 -- Big Shots (NCAA Certified) Washington DC or Myrtle Beach SC
or July 18 & 19 -- Big Shots (NCAA Certified) Charlotte NC

*MEMBERSHIP FEES: (**dependent on grade/age competing and team composition)
GRADES 5 - 8 - (based on 10 players per team - 4 to 6 local tournaments)
Membership fees cover: AAU Membership, Uniform, Tournament Costs
PLEASE NOTE: Your child will not be able to participate in any tournaments until the
Membership Fee has been paid. Please make payment of $300.00**on or before 3/15/2015. If
you would like to pay using a payment plan: $200.00 is due 3/15 and the remainder by 4/5/

PARTICIPATE IN TOURNAMENTS UNLESS FEES ARE PAID) NOTE: Price can

Membership fees cover: AAU Membership, Uniform, and Tournament Costs, Player hotel
costs***
PLEASE NOTE: Your child will not be able to participate in any tournaments until the
Membership Fee has been paid. Please make payment of $550.00** on or before 3/15/2015. If
you would like to pay using a payment plan of half due 3/15 and the remainder by 4/5/ 2015,
please contact Patti Banfield at [email protected] . (NO PLAYER WILL PARTICIPATE IN
TOURNAMENTS UNLESS FEES ARE PAID) NOTE: Price can substantially subsidized with
individual fundraising and sponsorship effort.
You agree to:
-- Confirm your commitment: Once you are contacted to participate on a team, you must let
us know if you accept our invitation at that time. We will then notify you of parent meeting date
and time.
-- Attend Parent Meeting: At this meeting, we will answer all questions parents and players may
have about our organization, as well as go over schedules, practices, player conduct, etc.
-- Player and Parent Conduct Contract
-- Complete and Bring Required Forms: MANDATORY – PLAYERS must bring a copy of birth
certificate and the Medical Form filled out completely to this meeting which we will be keeping.
(due at Parent Meeting)
-- Attend Practice and Clinic: You will need to practice with your team twice per week from 6:00 7:30 or 7:30 - 9:00 weekdays or afternoons on weekends at a place, and time, to be determined
based on coach availability and gym space. Attend team clinics as conducted by Coach ‘Rudy’
Williams.
-- Tournament Attendance: You plan on making most or all of the tournaments we have signed
up for.
-- Team Fundraisers: You agree to take part in team or club fundraisers. (All or part of which
directly benefit your player) Fundraisers need to be completed by May 24, 2015.
IEBC agrees to:
-- Purchase your AAU Membership Fees
-- Pay for all of your tournament hotel expenses during the season (***players only bunking
together (tentatively - 4 - 6 players per room)- this does not include parents should you decide
to travel with the team)
-- Pay for your part of the entry fee for the tournaments
-- Help find a way for you to get to the tournaments if your parents/guardians aren’t going
