-1our assignment is'to prepare a travel brochure to invite and entice
peop,le to visit your biome. You want to make visiting your biome
sound exciting and fun, a place that someone would like to visit on
vacation.
Begin by conducting research on your assigned biome. Complete the
attached worksheet. (use additional paper if necessary)
Be sure to find out the following:
1. Biome Location
2. Biome characteristics including seasons, climate (rainfall and
temperatures), altitude, and vegetation.
3. Five examples of organisms (other than human) that live in the biome
and how each is adapted to live in the biome.
1. An example of a food chain in this biome.
5. Three unique activities/tourist attractions in this biome
A minimum of 3 sources must be used!
You must submit your worksheet and a travel brochure for your biome.
Your brochure must be typed! The brochure should be on an 8LlZ x ll
inch paper (or larger) that is folded in threes. (See samples)
Include the 5 areas of information that you researched from above in
your brochure. Include at least 3 pictures or illustrations.

On Tuesday, November 28th, you and your "partner" will discuss your
researched biome and put together a ONE PAGE FACTS sheet listing the
important information (i.e. the information on the worksheet/brochure)
2.
A copy will be submitted by each Biome/group to Mr. Nugent at the end of
Tuesday's class period (he will make copies of each worksheet for the class)
3.
Each group will then PRESENT their biome to the class (Wed.-Friday 29th-1't;
in the form of a 7-L0 minute "lesson." (note: names drawn out of a hat to
determine order)
