final judging.
Entrants will be notified before the festival by email
and/or phone of final judging time and when to
report. Judging will be during festival time which
is 10:00am-2:00pm.
Entry Formalities
Only one entry per participant is allowed.
Costume entry must meet specifications and entrant
must wear the costume at the Earth Day Festival to be
considered for the contest.

Competition Overview
The competition seeks to promote the use of
recycled, reusable and renewable materials in
creative and artistic ways, while raising environmental and waste awareness among the entrants.
Theme
This year’s theme is
Endangered Animals.
Showcase in your costume an
endangered animal whose
cause you care about.
Costume Specifications
All costumes must be made from only
recyclable, reusable and renewable
materials. This can include but is not limited
to: cardboard, aluminum, plastics, paper, steel/
tin, Styrofoam, paper bags, glass, and recycled
fabric.
The use of glue, tape, and paint may be used in
small amounts only to enhance the costume.
Footwear, jewelry and other accessories must
also be primarily made from recyclable, reusable
and renewable materials.
Please remember this is a family-friendly event,
so costumes should be appropriate.
Entry Showcase and Final Judging
All participants who turn in a completed entry
form must wear their completed costume
on the runway at the Earth Day Festival on
Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 located at the
Anne Springs Close Greenway (250 Dairy Barn
Lane, Fort Mill, SC 29715) for final judging.
*Judging time TBD and emailed to all entrants.
