How to Charge Baby (RealCare Baby II-plus and RealCare Baby 3)
There are 3 lights on the back of Baby, each indicate status:
 Red Light – this light is the power status.
Solid Red shows 40% or greater charge on batteries.
Flashing Red shows 39% or less charge on batteries.
No Red Light indicates batteries are completely dead, Baby must be charged overnight before
next use.
 Green Light – this light is the charging status. This light is only visible when Baby is
charging. When Baby is plugged into the charger, the Green Light comes on and stays on until
full charging is completed. If Baby is unplugged from the charger, the Green Light will go out.
 Yellow Light – this is the communication status. This light will flash once every 10-15
seconds to indicate the communication systems are functioning. This light will stay lit during
the Add Baby process.
Charging Station with Power Supply or Single Charger
+
OR

The 5 Baby Charging Station can charge 1 to 5 Babies at a time.

There are 3 components to the Charging Station:
 The orange Charging Station Hub.
 The Power Supply – it has 2 wires, one that plugs into the wall and another wire that plugs into the
orange Charging Station Hub.
 5 Power Wires – one end plugs into the orange Charging Station Hub and the other end into the
back of Baby.

Please Note: The Single Charger can only be used to charge one Baby at a time. It should never be
connected to the Charging Station orange pod and connected to multiple Babies. This can damage the Single
Charger and is not covered under warranty.

You may hear clicking noises or see the lights flash on the back of Baby the first time it is connected to the
charger – or if Baby has been off the charger for a long time. This is normal and will stop after about 20
minutes of charging.


Baby can be charged for a minute, an hour, overnight, etc. It does not adversely affect Baby if it is unplugged
in the middle of a charge.

Baby can remain connected to the charger for over a week at a time, but no longer than 2 weeks. Longer
periods of continuous charging will damage batteries.

Baby does not have to be connected to the Charging Station to be programmed.
How to Charge Babies overnight
1. Plug in the 5 Baby Charging Station Power Supply and connect it to the orange Charging Station Hub. There
should be a small light visible on the Power Supply and a small light visible on the back of the Charging
Station Hub when correctly connected to power.
2. Connect the 5 Power Wires to the Charging Station Hub.
3. Plug Power Wires into charge point receptacle on the back of Baby.
4. On the back of Baby, the Green and Red lights may begin flashing, this is normal. If the Green light is solid
and Red is flashing, this is also normal.
5. After 20-40 minutes of charging, the Green light should be solid, the Red light may flash. The Yellow light
will flash once every 10-15 seconds.
6. After an overnight charge, Baby should show a solid Red light, this indicates a full charge. The Green light
should be out, this indicates charging has been completed. The yellow light should flash every 10-15
seconds, this indicates Baby can communicate with the software.
7. If you are using the Single Charger, plug it into the wall outlet and into the back of Baby. Then follow Steps
4 – 6.
*If Baby will be in storage for longer than 3 months it is very important to give the Baby regular charging. Be sure to
plug the Baby into the charger once every three months for a couple of hours. This will maintain the battery strength.
Extended periods of time without a charge will deplete the batteries ability to hold power*
