Nominee must be a member of SAAGNY as well as a top level decision-maker, director, vice president, principal, president, COO or CEO of a promotional products company. 2. Multi-line representatives and marketing companies are also eligible, provided the applicant is the president or owner of the company. 3. Applicants must be active in the industry for a minimum of two years. 4. Winner may use the scholarship to attend the PPAI North American Leadership Conference or comparable program, subject to approval by the Scholarship and Awards Committee. The scholarship must be used within a two-year time period and includes expenses for seminar tuition fee, transportation, housing and meals (subject to expense reimbursement criteria). 5. Applicants, please attach a separate sheet of plain paper (no company letterhead) with responses to the following questions: (1) How and why did you enter this industry? (2) What is the greatest challenge that you faced during your career in the promotional products industry? How did you deal with this challenge? (3) What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment during your career in the promotional products industry? Past Presidents Scholarship Award 1. Nominee must be principal or full-time employee of a SAAGNY member company. Distributors, suppliers, multi-line representatives and independent contractors working directly for a supplier, or distributor company may apply. 2. Applicants must be active in the industry for a minimum of two years. 3. Each scholarship winner may attend any program or seminar that will (1) expand their knowledge of the promotional products industry (2) enhance professional development (3) provide necessary skills to run a profitable business. The scholarship must be used within a two-year time period and includes expenses for seminar tuition fee, transportation, housing and meals (subject to expense reimbursement criteria). 4. Scholarship recipients must submit information on the program/seminar selected to the Scholarships and Awards Committee for approval. 5. In order to select the most qualified candidate while keeping applications anonymous, please submit your application on plain paper – no company letterhead. Provide a brief, typewritten summary of your industry experience with this form. Include the following: (1) _How and why did you enter the promotional products industry?
