Activage Fitness
Join Silver Sneakers certified instructor, Lori Wilkerson, for a fun new exercise program at the GMVCC. “Activage
Fitness” is a 30-minute class that is perfect for beginners through seasoned members. Classes combine a variety of
exercises which: increase cardio endurance, enhance balance for fall prevention, and improve performance of activities of daily living. Done to a soundtrack of big band to swinging 60’s music, workouts can be done entirely while
seated, assisted standing, or standing. Mondays in the Den from 1 – 1:30 pm, or Wednesdays in the Main Hall from
8:30 – 9:00 am. $1 per class for Silver Sneakers eligible, $3 for non-eligible participants. This is a drop-in class; no
prior registration required.
Monday, October 3
Book Club: Euphoria by Lily King
Reading is fun, interesting, and good for you! Join our 50+ monthly book club for lively conversation and to meet new
people too. Don't feel pressured to finish each book or dive deep into its meaning; this is supposed to be fun! Selections will made at each meeting, and will include titles from both fiction and non-fiction. We will meet on the first Monday of each month starting on October 3rd, from 10:00-10:45 am in the GMVCC library. We will be discussing the
novel Euphoria by Lily King. Cost is just $1, and you will be responsible for getting your own copy of the book.
Tuesday, October 4
Muckleshoot Casino
Try your luck down at the Mucks! Cost is $18; bring money for lunch and gambling. We will leave GMVCC at 9:30 am
and lunch is on our own at the casino. RSVP at the front desk!

ClearCaptions Telephone Presentation
Did you know 48 million Americans have hearing loss? Join us for a quick presentation on a helpful telephone service
from ClearCaptions. ClearCaptions Ensemble is a captioned phone that displays text of conversations in near realtime on a large color touchscreen while also amplifying voice so users can see and hear what callers are saying. ClearCaptions and the Ensemble telephones are 100% free for individuals with recognized hearing loss. Bingo will start
at 10:30 on this day, and the presentation will begin at 11:30 in the main hall.
Tuesday, October 11

you finish on a nice flat .75 too! Total distance is 4 miles or time restraint. Regular hikers only. Lunch to follow in North
Bend. Leave GMVCC at 9:30. Cost is $12.
