We are holding a blue cake sale at our school
for genetic, life-limiting diseases
Mucopolysaccharide (MPS) and related diseases are rare, genetic, conditions which
are devastating to the children and families they affect.
Over the past 30 years the MPS Society has been involved in funding vital research
in supporting children and families and developing new treatments.
Taking part is easy...
Bake some blue cakes and bring them into school to sell.
Donations will be made to the MPS Society
to help fund vital research
and support affected families.

About the MPS Society
The Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases (MPS Society) is the only UK charity supporting
individuals and families suffering with MPS and related Lysosomal Storage Diseases, their families,
carers and professionals.
MPS and related diseases are rare, genetic, life-limiting conditions. They cause progressive
physical disability and in many cases severe neurological deterioration and can cause death
in childhood.
The MPS Society aims to:
• Support families and carers and ensure all people with MPS and related diseases have access
to best practice in diagnosis, treatment and care.
• Fund and promote research into the causes, effects and treatments of these severely
life-limiting diseases.
• Increase awareness of MPS and related diseases and the issues facing sufferers, their families
and their carers.

1. Choose your Wear It Blue day and select your Wear It Blue Champion and write their name
in blue on the front of this poster
2. Put your poster somewhere that everyone can see it and send it to pupils and parents
3. Let the MPS Office know what you’re planning - phone 0845 389 9901

4. Encourage everyone to Wear It Blue, donate £1 and help to make a difference. EASY!
5. After the event, have a count up and send your money:
