THE TEN PLAGUES
The ten plagues spoken of in the book of
Exodus are greatly magnified when we
compare them to the plagues found in the
Book of Revelation
Revelation.. But, as we read in our
bible, the purpose of these plagues are the
same:: to judge the false gods of this world

The people of Mitzrayim (Egypt) had many
gods that governed different aspects of
their lives and their environment

THE EXODUS/REVELATION
CONNECTION
In the future when YHWH pours out His plagues
upon the Earth, He will be judging the mighty
ones, the false gods of this world that people
have given themselves over to - instead of giving
themselves to the one and only God, the God of
Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov

through the land of Egypt and kill all the firstborn
in the land of Mitzrayim, both men and animals

1. BloodBlood- the Egyptians believed that since the moon controls the
tides of the ocean that it had power over the water
water.. Therefore
Yahweh brought the plague of blood to show that there is a greater
power than the moon that controls the water

2. FrogsFrogs- the Egyptians believed that Mercury was responsible for
controlling all living things in the water
water.. Therefore again Yahweh
caused frogs to come out of the water and jump into the ovens and
into the Egyptian’s stomachs, to prove that there is a greater power
than Mercury

3. LiceLice- Venus is supposed to manipulate all beauty in the world

Yahweh thus brought lice, once of the most disgusting creatures,
over Egypt to show that He is the master over all including the
beauty of the world

4. Wild animalsanimals- they believed that the sun had a controlling power
on those animals that lived in the desert where the sun shines
brightly.. However, Yahweh proved otherwise by causing many wild

animals to leave their habitats and enter Egyptians cities

Yahweh once again showed that he has the power to control the
instincts of all animals and where they are to live

5. Plague on the Animals
Animals-- The Egyptians believed that Mars was
responsible for blood and body warmth

explains that during this plague all body heat was lost in the animals
due to cold air therefore causing them to die.

6. BoilsBoils- it was believed that Jupiter was responsible in the balance
of human body fluids

imbalance of fluids on the skin hence causing a tremendous amount
of pain to the Egyptians

7. HailHail- The Egyptians believed that there were gods that worked
with Saturn that control all things that relate to ice, snow, or cold

However, when Yahweh brought down a hail that contained fire from
within, He proved that there were no such gods that existed.

8. LocustsLocusts- the Zodiac was supposed to have influence on all the
animals and control where they wander

that He is more powerful than the Zodiac and allowed multitudes of
locusts to cross Egypt’s border and consume everything that the hail

9. DarknessDarkness- Day and night was believed to be controlled through a
power called the Outer Sphere.

1: THE PLAGUE OF BLOOD
When Yahweh was about to deliver His people from
Egypt, one of the signs was a plague in which water was
turned into blood
blood.. The Nile was a god to the Egyptians
and a chief source of their economic prosperity

Moshe and Aaron did just as Yahweh had commanded

He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his
officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the
water was changed into blood
blood.. The fish in the Nile died,
and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not

THE TWO WITNESSES
The book of Revelation
speaks of two witnesses who
will confirm God’s testimony
before the people of the Earth

without the shedding of
blood.. In Revelation 11:

authority to shut up the sky,
so that no rain falls during the
period of their prophesying

In Revelation 8:8 we begin reading about this when it
says, “The second angel sounded his shofar, and what
looked like an enormous blazing mountain was hurled
into the sea

poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the
blood of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea

JUDGEMENT ON THE
SABBATH DAY
The second plague is described in Exodus 8:17. An interval of "seven days" (7:25)

this second plague from the first

was thus given to Pharaoh to repent, before Yah
acted in judgment again
again.. In view of the fact that
the Flood commenced on the seventh day (see
Genesis 7:10 margin), that is, the holy Sabbath,
the conclusion is highly probable that each of
these first two plagues were sent upon Egypt on
the Sabbath day, as a Divine judgment for the

The frogs were the small Nile frog,
called Dofda in Egyptian - also called rana

THE FINGER OF YAHWEH
Although the finger of Yah is associated with
writing the Ten Commandments, creating the
heavens, and casting out demons (Exodus

will send swarms of dog flies on you and on your

where My people are living, so that no swarms of dog
flies will be there, in order that you may know that I,

THE ISRAELITES WERE EXEMPT
FROM THE PLAGUES
The land of Goshen where Israel was living was
exempted from the plague of dog flies

plagues judged the land of Egypt, Israel was
delivered since it was on the right side of

Plagues 1, 4, and 7 are all introduced by a meeting
between Moshe and Pharaoh "in the morning"

Egyptians in their own land to the insecure existence of

5: PLAGUE OF PESTILENCE
Exodus 9:1-5 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to
Pharaoh and speak to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the G_d
of the Hebrews, “Let My people go, that they may serve
Me.. “For if you refuse to let them go, and continue to

Moshe once again demanded of Pharaoh, "Let

revealing also the next Egyptian plague to occur
on the condition of continued disobedience to

advanced warning, allowing a period of
repentance to occur, which goes unheeded

plague affected the Egyptian by creating a huge
economic disaster, in areas of food,
transportation, military supplies, farming, and
economic goods that were produced by these

The fifth plague, murrain (pronounced mür'_ün, ü as

contagious virus infection of livestock

In addition to the killing

6: THE PLAGUE OF BOILS
The sixth plague of boils was a skin disease

sixth plague, like the third, was not announced
beforehand to Pharaoh

Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a
kiln, and let Moshe throw it toward the sky in the

out with sores on man and beast through all the land

Soot also causes the skin to be dirty, which
symbolizes spiritual uncleanness.

Cleanliness being paramount in the Egyptian
society, this plague pronounces the people
"unclean.." The magicians who have been seen

throughout the previous plagues are unable to
perform ceremonially rituals to their Egyptian
Gods and Goddesses in this unclean state, not
allowing them to even stand before Pharaoh

they are seen in the scriptural account no more

It is great to notice the contrast shown as Moses
and Aaron are the only ones left standing in front
of Pharaoh, with the "One True G_d" as their
support..

Likewise, in Revelation 16:

There is an interesting connection between the plague
that is described in Revelation and to what we saw in
Exodus.. It says that they could not stand before Moshe

In Judaism and in the scriptures Moshe
represented the Torah and the covenant of Yisra'el’s G_d

FOLLOWING THE TORAH IS THE MARK
OF YAH ON YOUR FOREHEAD
In Revelation 16:
16:1-2 it says that those whom had
the mark of beast also fell before this plague

Hebrew word “tav”, which is also symbolic for

The Torah is clear that those whom make it their lifestyle to
transgress it will eventually experience the plagues of Egypt

THE FATAL STROKE
Prior to the 7th Plague there is a summary in the

This word, "plagues," appears in verse 14 for the first

name might be proclaimed in all the

The seventh plague is unique in several ways

Exodus 9:30 contains a unique form of Yahweh’s name

This combination of names is the equivalent of having
'justice' and 'mercy' at the same time

capable of these two things simultaneously

THE MERCY OF YAH IS SEEN IN
THIS PLAGUE
Exodus 9:2323-24 And Moshe stretched out his rod

upon the land of Egypt

amidst the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it

The fire is literally inside the hail! The fire would melt the ice,
turning it into water
water.. The water would quench the fire leaving

steam.. Such a combination could never, ordinarily, exist

nature.. Here we see such mercy from Yahweh sending
them hail that was not deadly, with a warning to repent

enemy would ever give us such a warning to enable us repent
and save ourselves

and discipline his children would do this

Exodus 9:1818-22 Therefore, at this time
tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm that has
ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was

a place of shelter, because the hail will fall on

Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word
of HaShem hurried to bring their slaves and their
livestock inside
inside.. But those who ignored the word
of HaShem left their slaves and livestock in the
field.. Then HaShem said to Moses, "Stretch out

your hand toward the sky so that hail will fall all
over Egypt

strange hail mixed with fire and ice together..

We also see some clear correlations between
this plague and one of the plagues in the book of
Revelation.. The first would be in Revelation 8:5Revelation

THE LOCUST PLAGUE
Yahweh sent Moses back to Pharaoh to announce the next
plague.. Then the Lord said to Moses

‘INFERNAL BEINGS’ CAST INTO
THE EVERLASTING FIRE
This plague is definitely the manifested wrath of
Yahweh.. But there would seem to be an

"locusts".. The second chapter of Joel and the

ninth of Revelation should be carefully studied in
this connection

species of infernal "locusts" brought to our view

They issue from the Bottomless Pit, and the Anti

future punishing of the lost in the company

WORLD LEADERS CORRUPT
THE PEOPLE
The book of Revelation concludes with the
destruction and death of the armies that were
assembled. The firstborn often represented the
leadership of a nation, and it was the leaders in
Mitzrayim whom were leading the people into sin
and destruction. In the future it will be the similar
as the leaders of the world lead their people into
the same. For Revelation 19:19 states, “I saw
the beast and the kings of the earth and their
armies gathered together to do battle with the
rider of the horse and his army”.
THE APOCALYPSE
A third of mankind was killed by the three
plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came
out of their mouths

horses was in their mouths and in their tails

for their tails were like snakes, having
heads with which they inflict injury

of mankind that were not killed by these
plagues still did not repent of the work of

Now lets look at the relationship between the plagues
of Egypt and the plagues in the book of the Revelation

is a clue in the Tanakh that our future redemption will be like
our past redemption
