Asof1April2016,WHOreceivedUSD18,813,378from23contributors.Thisprocessstartedwiththe
publicationofthe2015PCQuestionnaire,usedbyWHOtoidentifyinfluenzavaccine,diagnosticand
pharmaceuticalmanufacturersusingGISRS.
Basedonthepreliminaryresultsofthe2015Questionnairethefollowing39entitieswererequestedto
contributetothe2015PartnershipContributionasprovidedundersection6.14.3ofthePIPFramework.
InaccordancewiththeprocessdetailedinSectionIVofthedocument“DistributionofPartnership
Contributionamongcompanies”1eachentityidentifiedasaContributorcalculateditsfour-yearaverage
annualinfluenzaproductsales2andinformedWHOofitsBandNumber.Subsequently,WHOapplied
theformulafoundinSectionIIIofthesamedocument3andsenteachentityaninvoiceforthe
correspondingamount.TheresultsarefoundintheTables1and2below.Table3listsentitiesthat
havebeenremovedfromtheContributor’slistaswellasthereasonsfortheirremoval.Lastly,Table4
providesasummaryofamountsduebysales’band.
Experiencesincollectingcontributionshavehighlightedsomechallengesfacedbycompanies,notably
theabilitytopaycontributionsinfull,inasinglepayment.Inaccordancewithguidanceprovidedby
theAdvisoryGroup,thePIPSecretariatgavecompaniesfacingsuchissuesthepossibilityofpayingin
installments.
Somepaymentsremaininprogress.Consistentwithpastpractice,thePIPSecretariatwillcontinueto
seekpaymentof2015contributionsuntilallarereceived.
