PARENT SURVEY: St. Mary Catholic Central is an accredited high school through the
North Central Association. As part of accreditation, SMCC is engaged in an ongoing
continuous improvement process, of which all parties are integral. We will be using the
AdvancED Parent Survey as a means to elicit your opinions to help target areas for
improvement and areas of continuing effectiveness. The five sections on the survey
represent the five AdvancED Standards for Quality School Systems and provide a means
for learning about parent expectations of a high-quality school system. You may access the
survey by clicking on the following link:

COLLEGE ADVISING NEWS
Freshmen Parents: The College Advisors met with your students this week to work on
career planning in Naviance. The students completed a personality assessment called, "Do
What You Are". At completion, each student received an individualized report which was
based on their responses to questions about their personality. The report gives a summary
of their personality and a list of suggested careers based on their personality, strengths
and weaknesses.
Please ask your students to show you their report or log into your Naviance account to take
a look. Your support in helping them investigate possible careers/majors will aid us in
future planning. Please contact the college advisors with any questions you may have.
