SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface preparation is the essential first stage treatment of a substrate
before the application of any coating. The performance of a coating is
significantly influenced by its ability to adhere properly to the substrate
material. It is generally established that correct surface preparation is
the most important factor affecting the total success of surface treatment.
Surfaces will be clean, dry, and sound, the presence of even small
amounts of surface contaminants, dust, efflorescence, laitance, salts,
curing compounds, dirt, oil, form release agents, and other foreign matter
can physically impair and prevent coating adhesion to the substrate.
MIXING PROCEDURES
Mix entire/full package containers, do not measure or mix partial
containers of multi-component materials.
Blend 2 parts-A with 1 part-B by volume into a clean container.
Adequately blend FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT for 3 to 4 minutes at a slow
speed using a drill motor and paddle until the mixture is consistent
making sure not to encapsulate any air.
If necessary add up to 1 quart (0.9463 liters) of acetone per 3 gallon
(11.356 liters) kit as permitted by local regulations, remix product
immediately, carefully scraping the sides and bottom of the pail during
mixing.
After mixing thoroughly, immediately pour the FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT
onto the horizontal surface and spread evenly over the entire surface
using trowel or squeegee and back roll.
APPLICATION
Application temperature should be between 40º F (4.44° C) and 95º F
(35° C). Insure that the outside temperature is at least 6º (-14.44) above
the dew point and rising, for best results apply while the outside
temperature is descending.
After mixing thoroughly, immediately pour the FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT
onto the horizontal surface and spread evenly over the entire surface
using trowel or squeegee and back roll, do not puddle.
Concrete should be shot blasted to a CSP 4-6.
Do not apply more primer to the substrate than can be coated within (18)
eighteen hours of set time.
Grinding is only permitted in areas that are inaccessible to shot blasting
equipment.
FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT will require mechanical abrasion once it
exceeds (18) eighteen hours.
Concrete should be cured for a minimum of 28 days prior to product
application and have at least 3000 psi compressive and 220 psi tensile
strength.
Apply coating to FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT when surface is dry to the
touch.
PACKAGING 2:1 RATIO
1½ Gallon Kit: (1 gallon/3.785 liters part-A) and (½ gallon/1.892 liters
part-B).
3 Gallon Kit: (2 gallon/7.570 liters part-A) and (1 gallon/3.785 liters partB).
COLOR
Clear - Due to its chemical composition, FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT will
discolor.
COVERAGE RATE
100 to 300 square feet per gallon (9.29030m² to 27.8709m² per liter),
applied at a theoretical 5 mils per coat (0.127mm) do not puddle.
Coverage rates are approximate and vary based on type of substrate,
porosity, roughness, size of broadcast aggregate.
Working time for FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT is approximately 20 minutes.
If two (2) coats of primer are required, prime the entire surface with the
first coat at a rate of 1 gallon (3.78 liters) per 300 square feet (27.8709
m²). Apply the second coat at a rate of 1 gallon (3.78 liters) per 400
square feet per gallon (37.1612 m²) and some systems require a
broadcast of dry contamination free 30 mesh sand (595 microns,
0.2320”, 0.595 millimeters) into the second coat of wet primer until the
primer is fully filled approximately .25 lb. (0.1 kg) per square foot
(0.092903m²).
Excess aggregate must be completely removed before application of the
coating.

qualification for warranty.
DISPOSAL
Spilled material, unused contents and empty containers must be
disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Excess moisture vapor in concrete slabs may result in primer and/or
coating to delaminate, discolor or cause improper curing.
Freedom ® Chemical Corporation assumes no liability for substrate
defects.
Substrates that have previously been coated are subject to absorption,
which may affect the adhesion of a new coating.
STORAGE
FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of
manufacture, in factory-sealed containers.
High/Low temperatures and humidity can significantly affect pot life and
extend the cure time.
Never store directly on concrete surface, always store on pallets.
FreedomTuff ® 6130-LT is not UV Stable.
Avoid freezing temperatures.
TESTING
Perform an adhesion test prior to starting any coating project.
Rotate stock regularly.
