PERFORMANCE PACKET 2017
GENERAL INFORMATION
The performances will be held at the North Kitsap Auditorium on April 23rd at 10am, 2pm and 6pm.
There are 3 total performances. Tech rehearsals and dress rehearsal will run during Saturday, April 15 (see
schedule). Please make yourself familiar with the schedule sheet.

ALL COSTUME FEES WILL APPEAR ON YOUR ACCOUNT AND SHOULD BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE APRIL. YOU
WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL WHEN COSTUME CHARGES ARE ENTERED ON YOUR ACCOUNT. IF YOU HAVE
QUESTIONS ABOUT COSTUMES PLEASE SEE THE FRONT OFFICE.
Volunteers
Volunteering is a great way to connect with other parents and it’s fun! The need for volunteers is high and
we cannot execute the show without you. You will receive an online volunteer sign-up link from Sign-up
Genius where you can select and post your volunteer slots. We need 2 dads to move the floor early
on dress rehearsal day and on performance day. We need you at the studio by 7:00 AM
both days to move and install the floor in time for the first performance/ first tech rehearsal.
There is online sign up for volunteers. A link will be provided.
Dancers
Make sure you know and double check the schedules for dress and tech rehearsals. Bring all your dance
wear and be at dancer’s call on time for warm up. It is your responsibility to have all your dancewear with
you before rehearsals and performances. It is also your responsibility to check the schedule and show order
to know if you need to be at 1, 2, or all of the performances. DOUBLE CHECK!!
Between Shows - Parents can to pick up children between shows.
Make Up and Hair
Hair should be in proper form for class (i.e. ballet performers’ hair in buns). Your instructor will decide the
hairstyle. Stage make up required. Read and review the Hair and Make‐up section.
Costumes
Costumes to be checked out by your teacher. Costumes do not leave the auditorium and will be left
between shows, until your last performance, then you may take your costumes home with you. It is the
dancer’s responsibility to keep them in order and know where they are stored.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased for family members of performers on February 1st. They will be available online
and at the studio. To ensure your family receives seating (particularly those that are only in 1
performance) please order ahead of time. Tickets cost $20 pre‐ordered and $22 at the door the day of the
performance. Each family may purchase up to 8 tickets per student until MARCH 1st. Tickets will then go
on sale to the general public until April 21th at the studio‐after that date only at the door.
Schedule
It is crucial and required that the performing child and any volunteers be on time for all dress rehearsals,
tech rehearsals, and performances. Spacing rehearsals run back to back, we will not wait for late‐comers.
All of the rehearsals for tech week will be on stage at the North Kitsap Auditorium. Please refer
to the schedule sheet for your times and days. DOUBLE CHECK!!

Spacing Rehearsal‐ is very important. It will be right before dress rehearsal. It is their chance to
become familiar with the stage area. Rehearsals are back to back, we cannot go over our allotted
time so please be 10 minutes early.
Volunteers‐ We will need 1 parent to supervise each Pre‐Dance group at dress rehearsal and
performances. Please sign up online.
Backstage‐ Bring quiet games, books to keep them occupied while they wait. Sweats or PJ’s are a
great thing to have so they can sit on the floor before and after they perform.
Drop‐Off at North Kitsap Auditorium :
Parking is limited and must be reserved for volunteers and attendees.
Drop off your pre‐dancer at the North Kitsap Auditorium Theater upstairs. Check your student
in with the parent volunteer who will lead your child’s group in the theater.
Dress Rehearsal:
Bring your students to their assigned seating in the theater. Pre‐Dancers will learn the finale and
then rehearse their dance. They can go home as soon as all Pre‐levels finish their dance (see

Dress Rehearsal Pick‐up:
For this age, the little ones will be staying for finale bows (which are run at the beginning of
rehearsal). They will run through their pieces first and be excused to go home before the rest of
the school begins. Times are approximate. Please don’t be late! We cannot leave children
unsupervised. (Dress Rehearsal schedule will be posted at the studio & emailed).
Performance:
Dancers do not need to be at the theater until 9:00am, 1:00pm and 5:00pm respectively. All
students must stay backstage with the backstage moms for the entire performance. You may
supply them with a nonmessy snack. Volunteer parents will be staying with the pre‐dancers
throughout the experience. Please do not come backstage during their performance. It is
extremely crowded and they will be well cared for.

Saturday, April 15th Tech : 8am-3pm
check schedule for your specific
times
Dress Rehearsal: 3:30pm-8pm EVERYONE!
1.
ARRIVE EARLY SO WE MAY STAY ON SCHEDULE.
Every minute that you are late puts the whole show behind schedule and makes leaving on-time
difficult.
2.
Have hair, make‐up, and costume on for dress rehearsal. We will be using the dressing
rooms only for those who must change for another piece during Dress rehearsal so theater
rules must be followed.
3.
We will begin with FINALE BOWS just with EVERYONE!
4.
Pre‐Ballet/Tap classes will run their pieces in order of performing. They will be excused
after all of them have run their piece.
5.
You will be assigned rows for seating during the rehearsal so the line‐up person can find
you to take you to the stage. Please stay with your group!
6.
We will be running the dress rehearsal in order of the show. We will have notes after the
1st half. If you are not in the 2nd half you may leave. We will have notes after the 2nd half as
well. This is your chance to see your fellow dancers perform!
Everyone needs to do our best to keep to our schedule on time but, we need everyone’s
cooperation, attention, and patience during rehearsals.
It is a DRESS REHEARSAL so make sure you have tights, shoes, everything! Full costume is
expected. Organize and arrange your costumes and dancewear in your area in your dressing room.
NO FOOD OR SNACKS WHILE IN COSTUME!!
Parents: Keep an eye on the schedule and show order to find out when a general pick‐up time is
good for your dancer.
VOLUNTEERS: This is a rehearsal for you as well. You will be running your spots just like a
regular performance. Some volunteer spots will have 4 people at one spot during dress rehearsal
but it is for all of you to understand the order and organization. You will have a short meeting in
the lobby before rehearsal with the volunteer manager and go to assigned places. 3:00PM in the
lobby.
After dress rehearsal, ORGANIZE YOUR COSTUMES!! No costumes on the floor. Keep the dressing
rooms clean and organized just as you found them! You must take home your belongings in the
room after rehearsal; Bring back your costume on performance day! Go home, eat well, and rest
for your performance the next week.
