Night?
Every morning we wake up and every
night, we sleep. But what causes day and
night?

thinking the sun
moves but it
doesn’t.

The reason why there
is day and night on
Earth is that the Earth
rotates.

First, one side of the Earth is facing the sun. So
the side that’s facing the sun is day. Lets call this
side A.

Then the other side is not facing the sun. Let’s
call this side B. It is now night time on side B.

side B will face the
sun and that means
side B is now day and

Imagine what would happen if there was only day or only night.
There would be a lots of electricity wasted if there was only night!
There would be trouble sleeping if it was only day!

If there was only day on Earth, people will
be tired because it will be hard to sleep.
Also the animals who hunt at night will
have trouble catching its prey because its
not dark and the prey will see them. They
might be extinct

because it’s always too dark. Also the night active animals would wipe out all
the prey and all the animals can be extinct.
