Match Unit Form with Number Form
Students should understand that a number can be
represented in different ways. On the left they are
written in unit form and on the right they are written
in number form. The student should be able to identify
which unit form matches the number form.
Numbers in Word Form
Again they learn that a number can be represented in
different ways. On the left they are written in word
form and on the right they are written in number form.
The student should be able to identify which word form
matches the number form.
Writing a Number in Expanded Form
Relate base ten numbers in all forms.

200 + 30 + 2 =252
Expanded form is a way to represent a number that
shows the sum of values for each digit of the number.
Expanded form can also be used to break a number
down even smaller.
100 + 100 + 10 +10 + 10 +1 + 1 = 232
200 is expanded into 100 + 100
30 is expanded into 10 + 10 + 10
2 is expanded into 1 + 1
