ABC Radio Triple J, NSW

ABC Radio Triple J, NSW
Triple J could not interrupt broadcasts or other functions, so a partner
with expertise in radio was sought to design and manage the fitout as
a carefully staged project.
This project won a Master Builders
Association (NSW) award in the category
of 2008 Interior Fit out between one and
two million dollars.
“Triple J would like to thank ISIS for their
award winning work.”

OVERVIEW
ABC Radio’s Triple J had
grown and diversified, leaving
its headquarters requiring
a total upgrade. Additional
working space was required,
as well filming areas for the
station’s television arm, JTV.
The network also needed
lounge areas for staff and
visiting guests.
CONTINUOUS
BROADCASTING
A major imperative was to
allow live broadcasting to
continue within the building
throughout the project. SHAPE
implemented a careful planning
and coordination program to
ensure this could be achieved.
With staff in full occupation,
SHAPE executed the project
over five zoned stages to
ensure business continuity.
This involved the SHAPE team
working in one of five zones,
while Triple J staff occupied
the balance. SHAPE deployed
careful noise and dust control
measures such temporary
hoardings and fitting of
vacuums to power tools.
