Additional working space was required, as well filming areas for the station’s television arm, JTV. The network also needed lounge areas for staff and visiting guests. CONTINUOUS BROADCASTING A major imperative was to allow live broadcasting to continue within the building throughout the project. SHAPE implemented a careful planning and coordination program to ensure this could be achieved. With staff in full occupation, SHAPE executed the project over five zoned stages to ensure business continuity. This involved the SHAPE team working in one of five zones, while Triple J staff occupied the balance. SHAPE deployed careful noise and dust control measures such temporary hoardings and fitting of vacuums to power tools. Value Adding DEVELOPING THE PROJECT ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN As the project’s Design and Construct Manager, the SHAPE team was involved in developing architectural and services details.
