Join us for a Santa 5K Fun Run and a kids 1K Elf Run, on Sunday, December 7, at 2:30 pm, at
the Park at River Walk (11298 Stockdale Hwy), with registration opening at 1 pm.
For the Santa 5K Fun Run, the cost is $25 if pre-registered by Friday, December 5. At the gate,
registration is $30 or $25 with a toy for “Toys for Tots.”
1K Elf Run is for children 10 and under. The cost is $5 per child. Awards are as follows:
-Top three men and top three women with the best time in the 5K receive a trophy.
-Top three boys and top three girls with the best time in the 1K receive a medal.
-Best Santa costume receives $100 Visa gift card.
-Best elf costume (for children 10 and under) receives $50 Toys-R-Us gift card.
All proceeds for the event benefit The Wounded Heroes Fund and Valley Schools.

Waiver and Release: I am aware that participating in the Bakersfield Santa 5K Fun Run & Walk through the Park at River
Walk in Bakersfield, CA, is a potentially hazardous activity and that I and/or my child should not enter
and participate in the Run unless I and/or my child are physically able. I acknowledge and agree that I,
on behalf of myself and/or my child, am solely responsible for all health risks associated with the Run.
I agree to abide by the rules and the decision of any event official relative to my and/or my child’s
ability to safely compete in the event. I will provide adult supervision for my child to and from the Run
and during the Run. I assume all risks of personal injury, death, property loss or other damages, which
may result from or arise out of my and/or my child’s participation in the Run. The foregoing risks shall
include, but are not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather
(including high heat and/or humidity), traffic, road conditions, all such risks to myself and/or my child
being known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of my and/or my
child’s participation in the Run. I understand and agree that the foregoing waiver of liability,
individually and/or on behalf of my child, shall apply to any and all claims against Valley Schools,
Valley Bible Fellowship, the Park at Riverwalk, race day volunteers, all event sponsors, and/or their
owners, managers, shareholders, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates and their
representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Event Affiliates”) for any such personal
injuries, property loss or other damages connected to or arising out of any of the aforesaid risks. I
hereby, individually and/or on behalf of my child, fully and forever waive, release and discharge the
Event Affiliates, and each of them, from any and all claims, damages, demands, rights of action or
causes of action, present or future, known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or
arising out of my attendance at and participation in the Run, including those which arise out of the
negligence of the Event Affiliates. Further, I hereby, individually and/or on behalf of my child, release
and discharge the Event Affiliates from any and all liability for any loss of, or theft of, or damage to
personal property, including without limitation, automobiles. I am aware that Valley Schools and Event
Affiliates will be taking photographs and that I, individually and/or on behalf of my child, give Valley
Schools and Event Affiliates the unrestricted absolute, perpetual, worldwide right to display, post,
distribute or reproduce any photographs of myself and/or my child pertaining to the Run and/or the Pre
and Post Run Entertainment. I acknowledge and agree that I have carefully read this Waiver and
Release and fully understand and agree that it is a waiver and release of liability.
