INTRODUCTION TO TRACEM
TraceM is the PDA version of Streetdirectory’s desktop Geographic Information System (GIS).

Built on the Windows Mobile Pocket PC platform, the device is designed to provide mobile users with on the spot
Location Based Information.

Powered by the maps as seen at www.streetdirectory.com, TraceM allows the mobile user access a wealth of location
based services in the palm of his hand.

TraceM is now embedded with a Bluetooth GPS communications module as well as data exchange capabilities when
integrated with Trace application. Control centres are able to rely on information to better manage staff and resources.

Find Location


Search for any location in Singapore quickly using the unique 6 digit postal
code, street names or building name.
Point of Interests (POI)

Search for any nearby Point of Interests (POI)
by choosing from a range of over 50
categories maintained by Streetdirectory
(refer to Annex A).

Bookmark

d)
Save commonly referenced locations using the bookmark feature and recall
them quickly from the bookmark list.
Layering

e)
Import and layer customized layers onto TraceM to show locations of key
establishments and personal Point of Interests (POI).
GPS

With built in connectivity to a standard Bluetooth GPS device, users can
visualize their current location easily and position themselves with a 10 to 15
metres error margin. Relay this position back to the control centre via GPRS
to remote manage assets and personnel.

Picture Sending

TraceM has customized modules that can be configured to suit customer
requirements. Information from a central server can be transmitted remotely
via GPRS to the PDA device. These facilities are used by onsite personnel
to send back information on the field to enable control centre to give
instructions.

Sending of report status;

Sending of images onsite;

Sending of current position
