Hispanic Heritage Month begins each year on September 15, the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries. Mexico also celebrates their independence day during this period, and Columbus Day (Día de la Raza) is October 12. At Midwestern State University, we celebrate the culture with a variety of events for our students and the Wichita Falls Community. The Office of Student Development and Orientation encourages students to partake in the liberal arts mission by immersing themselves in cultural events provided by our multicultural organizations at MSU.
