Get Answers The Campbellsport Public Library’s 2nd annual silent auction fundraiser will begin on Monday, September 8th. This year we have an incredible selection of items to auction off including: refurbished furniture; hand knit items; stain glass pieces; hand painted planters; and much more. Bidders can start to examine the variety of handmade items in the auction in person, on the Library’s website or on our Facebook Page starting Friday, September 5th. The items will be up for auction until Friday, September 19th at 6 pm. During this two week time period, interested parties can place bids in person or over the phone by calling (920) 533 - 8534 during business hours. The status of the bids on the items will be updated throughout the two weeks on the Library’s Facebook page. The people who placed the winning bids will be notified by phone on Monday, September 22nd. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase books and movies for library users to borrow. at the Campbellsport Public Library Monday, September 15th @ 6:30 pm Warden Kyle Kosin will be at the Library to give a brief overview of the major rule changes in regards to upcoming deer hunting season. He and Dan Weidert a Wildlife Biologist will take the time to answer your questions about the new regulations and any other hunting concerns you may have. Everyone will leave with a good understanding of the new regulations. This is a free program. Registration is not required. Free refreshments will be served. Door prizes will be raffled off! The Library Staff and Board Members would like to thank everyone who contributed a handmade item to this fundraiser. We were once again thrilled with the wonderful items we have to auction! Essential Health with Kim Keceli, LMT, CA, MSAM Tuesday, September 16th @ 1 & 5:30 pm Join us at the Library to watch the film 9000 Needles which documents a stroke victim’s recovery through the help of oriental medicine. The movie will be followed with a discussion lead by Kim Keceli who holds a masters of science in oriental Medicine. She will talk about what acupuncture is and how it can help. She will also explain some of the differences between Eastern and Western medicine. There will be time for questions following the presentation. This free program is one in a series that will be held by Ms. Keceli. Registration for the program is not necessary. Refreshments will be served. TAILS to TAILS - Monday, September 15th 5:30 - 7 pm Reading to a trained R.E.A.D dog motivates a young reader to read more often and to read more difficult books. Reluctant readers even begin to look forward to reading after working with a R.E.A.D dog. Call today to register your reader for a free 15 minute reading session with Taz the dog. Free Movies! Free Popcorn! MUPPETS MOST WANTED Friday, Sept 26th @ 1 pm The Muppets go on a global tour, selling out shows but they unwittingly find themselves entangled in an international crime caper. This film is rated “PG” anyone age 9 and under will need to attend this program with someone older. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS Monday, Sept 29 @ 1 & 5:30 pm Hazel and Gus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel’s other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group. This film is rated “PG-13” anyone under the age of 13 will need to attend this program with a parent. Local Author & Village Police Officer Keith Hellwig Will be giving a book talk on Monday, Sept 8th @ 6:30 pm Join us to hear Officer Hellwig read from his book and talk about what inspires him to write. After his presentation he will be selling and signing copies of his novel - No Place Like Home. This is a free drop in program. Refreshments will be served.
