We are investing in your area to renew our water mains network. Our pipes have been serving the community well for many years, but as they get old they can burst causing interruptions to your supply and the service we provide. When is the work taking place? The first section of this work will take place through private land before entering Brampton Road, we expect this will take approximately 1 - 2 weeks to complete. The remainder of this water pipe replacement will then continue along Brampton Road working in sections up to a maximum of 300m with the use of multiway traffic lights and convoy system with speed restrictions of 10 mph. Access through these works using the convoy system will only be available for all vehicles under 7.5 tonnes (small cars / vans), vehicles above this weight (HGV) will have to follow the sign posted diversion route (please see diagram on rear) Towards the end of this project we will need to undertake the last section of this work with the use of a two week full road closure of Brampton Road between Brockton turning and Lydbury North village. We will need to close the road to all vehicles with access only for residents. Dates for this remaining phase are still to be confirmed, we will let you know about this part of the work after further site investigations have taken place.
