Information RACE/WALK KITS PICK-UP Race kits (costume, BIB and timing chip) are available for pickup at the Eastern Ontario Education and Training Centre (CÉFEO), located at 750 Principale Street in Casselman on: • Saturday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,and; • Sunday, December 4, from 8 a.m. to 9:30a.m. We recommend arriving early to try your costume and exchange it if the size is not adequate. Note: Family and group members can pick up their team’s race kits by providing a confirmation of participation. Registrations will be accepted in person on site (at CÉFEO) until the race starts. PARKING Parking will be available on the streets (where permitted) and in public parking lots. However, we recommend the following two parking lots: J.R. Complex (758 Brébeuf St.) and the No Frills’ public parking lot (accessible from Brébeuf St.). For directions, please see the map at the end of this Newsletter. Carpooling with family or team members is also recommended. WAVE STARTS Participants will be asked to proceed to the Start line, located at the corner of Principale and Cartier streets (please see map). • 1st wave: 10 a.m. (10 KM) • 2nd wave: 10:30 a.m. (5 KM) • 3rd wave: 10:35 a.m. (3 KM) Please plan enough time to prepare and warm-up prior to your start-time. RACE BIB AND TIMING CHIP A timing chip will be included in your race BIB. You may keep it once the race is completed. Please ensure that your race BIB is well pinned to the front of your suit. Your result will be available on the Sportstats website at the end of the race. PACE ELVES (Pace Bunnies) Our Pace Elves will help runners track their time and lead them to the finish line at their desired pace. STROLLERS AND DOGS Strollers are permitted, but will be asked to start behind the runners. Dogs are not permitted at this event. TIME LIMIT FOR WALKERS The time limit for walkers (3 KM and 5 KM) is one (1)hour. WATER AND MEDICAL STATION A water and medical station will be set-up at the 2 KM marker. Volunteers will circulate on the course at all times during the race. Please beware of vehicles, as some roads will not be closed, and always be conscious of your surroundings. TOILETS Toilets will be available at the water and medical station, Académie de la Seigneurie, at the fire station, as well as at the Start/Finish line. FINISH LINE ETIQUETTE As courtesy to those finishing behind you, please keep moving once you have crossed the Finish line. Do not wait for family or team members in the finishing chute as it will clutter the area. Proceed through the chute where you will be given your medal. LOST & FOUND Lost and found objects will be kept for a week. If you lose an object during the race, please contact: info@casselmanfestival.
