What is a Small Group? What occurs during a typical Small Group

What is a Small Group?
A Small Group is a gathering of 10-14 people or more who meet in a home, coffee house, at church or a
workplace. They hangout, study the Bible and pray together.
What occurs during a typical Small Group meeting?
Small group members gather to grow relationally and in faith in Jesus Christ through Bible Study. They also
have fellowship, pray for one another, and actively serve either in the church or community.
What are the benefits to being a member of a Small Group?
Life change happens best in the context of a loving community. As a member of a Small Group you become
connected to the larger body of believers. In a Small Group you receive loving acceptance, encouragement
and accountability.
Where do Small Groups meet?
Most Small Groups meet in the homes of the Small Group members. Shepherd’s Gate facilities are available for
Small Group meetings as well.
How often and for how long do Small Groups meet?
Frequency of meetings is up to the Small Groups to decide. Most meet twice a month. The length of each
gathering is up to each individual Small Group, but typically each meeting lasts 2 to 3 hours.
