Pacing Work Sheet
Pacing Worksheet
Your pace equals your stride, which is two steps. Count your pace by choosing either your left
or right foot and counting every time that foot steps off.
Find your pace.
This is how many paces I take per 100 meters, on flat ground. Throw out any times when you
lose count.

Find your “meters/pace” conversion factor.
Take 100 meters, and divide by the number of paces you need to take to travel 100 meters.
Round off to the nearest tenth. That will give you how many meters you travel per pace.
Remember this number!
I travel
meters with every pace.
Fill in the number of paces you need to take to walk the following distances. Do the math by
simple proportions, or by dividing by your conversion factor. Round off to the nearest 1/2
pace.
