School Dress Code
 Bottoms: Solid tan or solid black colored khaki material, OR solid blue or solid black
jeans (no acid washed jeans)
* length of skirt or shorts must fall to two inches or less above the knee
 Tops: Skinner Logo T-shirts or Polos or Sweatshirts
o Also accepted: 3-button Polos or Plain Solid-colored crewneck T-shirts (black or
white, short or long sleeved. No tank-tops)
 Shoes: Must follow DPS dress code policy (enclosed shoes, no slippers)
 Plain Solid-colored black or white crewneck pullover sweatshirts or sweaters
 Wednesdays – students are allowed to wear Skinner affiliated shirts which don’t always
follow Skinner’s typical dress code colors (team shirts, drama shirts, etc.)
 Fridays – students are allowed to wear college logo shirts or sweatshirts. (no hoodies
and no jerseys)
Not Permitted:
o NO ‘other’ color jeans beyond khaki, blue or black are permitted.
o **NO sagging, NO holes or shreds, NO large patches, decals, or logos
o No logos other than Skinner logo should be visible on clothing.
o No athletic wear (including leggings) except during PE class (DPS Policy)
o PE uniform shirts are for PE ONLY
o Shirts may not be worn inside out to hide decals
o (Scoop-neck, V-neck shirts, or other t-shirts worn inside out are not permitted.)
Under shirts or under layer must be white or be the color of the outer shirt
that is being worn.
o No sheer, netted or lace shirts are permitted.
o No hoodies, zipper sweatshirts or jackets are allowed.
o NO hats worn in the building (DPS Policy)
The appropriateness of student dress will always be up to the discretion of the Skinner Middle
School Staff.
Skinner Logo Uniform items are recommended and preferred, and may be purchased at
Skinner.
Polos - $12.00
Short-sleeve T-Shirts (regular or girl’s cut) - $10.00
Long-sleeve T-Shirts - $11.00
Sweatshirts - $13.00
PE Uniform
**All students will have one trimester of Physical Education/Dance and uniform
may be re-used from year to year or purchased at the beginning of the trimester
the student takes the course.
 White Skinner T-shirt - $12.00
 Black Skinner Shorts - $12.00
