10.2 The Egytianization of Kush

10.3 Kush Conquers Egypt
L 13. In the mid-700s, Kush regained its independence from Egypt when the

have traditionally called them the “black pharaohs”.

10.4 The Kush Capital of Meroe

miles south of Napata, safely out of Egypt’s reach.

10.5 Kush Returns to its African Roots

influence of Africa on Kushite culture.
