• Blood Pressure Cuff
(Velcro-Wrap only; no metal slide)
• S tethoscope (Cannot be attached to blood
pressure cuff )

PROGRAM COST:
You can change your life, and the lives
of many others, in only six weeks’ time
when you train to be a CNA. MMCC’s
non-credit CNA program trains students
to provide direct care in...
This six-week class is divided into two parts, and includes
60 hours of classroom activities and skill practice time in the
laboratory, and 60 hours of supervised clinical practice at an area
health care agency.

• Nursing Care Facilities
• Adult Day Care Centers
• In-Home Healthcare Organizations
TRAIN AS A CNA TODAY.
When finished with the program, you will be able to:
• A ssist patients and residents in attaining and
maintaining functional independence.
• E ffectively communicate and interact with
clients, families and other health team members.
•D
emonstrate an understanding of clients’
emotional, social, and physical needs through
sensitive interactions and behaviors.
•D
isplay an attitude of understanding of
clients’ rights.
•D
emonstrate observational and documentation
skills needed in the assessment of clients’ health
and well being.
PART ONE (60 Hours)
Classroom and lab instruction at MMCC.
(Harrison or Mt. Pleasant Campus )

responsible for: Textbook,

Certification Testing Fee.
PART TWO (60 Hours)
Clinical/Lab “hands-on” training at a local health
care facility.
Funding may be available for
qualified individuals through
MI Works! or MI Rehab Services
to offset some or all course costs.

out if you qualify.
The training is designed to prepare the individual to fulfill the
role of direct care giver/nurse aide in a health care setting.
Federal Financial Aid is not
available for this program.
