The first Aerogel was manufactured in 1931 by an American scientist. It is made by mixing chemicals and making
them form a gel. The liquid component is removed from this gel and replaced with a gas leaving a porous solid
structure which is the aerogel. So far the main problem with classical aerogels has been the complicated and energy
inefficient production method which for a long time has limited their use to high tech price insensitive markets such
as the space industry. Svenska Aerogel AB’s unique production method makes it possible to reduce the production
cost and offer its material Quartzene, with physical properties similar to aerogels, at a much lower price. This makes
the material Quartzene unique compared to conventional aerogels. Aerogels are very good thermal insulators,
because they very nearly eliminate the three methods of heat transfer; convection, conduction and radiation. This
makes aerogels the world’s best known insulation material in existence today with thermal conductivity normally
between 10-19 mW/m,K, this is about 2 to 4 times better than the conventional materials used today. Svenska
Aerogel can optimize the functionality of Quartzene due to its flexible production method. Our production method
gives us opportunities to incorporate or dope different chemicals into the Quartzene as well as to customize
different physical properties such as the internal surface, density and porous structure

Elementum Rust Protector is a metallic-based, moisture-cure
polyurethane encapsulating coating designed to coat and seal.
Rust Protector Stands up to acids, salts and caustic materials
with no loss of strength. Rust Protector falls under the metallic
pigmented coating category. Seal virtually any surface and
protect it against corrosion, weather and physical wear with Rust
Protector, a three-coats-in-one system that acts as a primer,
intermediate, and top coat, with a single applications its cure
cycle within an hour, penetrating and swelling to surface pores.

Elementum Ultra-Fire build extra safety into structures with
Elementum Ultra Fire™, a ceramic-loaded, water-borne fireproofing
coating. Due to its increased aerogel content Ultra-Fire stays intact
above 2000 degrees F (1100 degrees C) and has a 2-3 hour fire
rating, a 7-hour rating was achieved on a 20mm thick steel plate
inside a furnace at 1 200ᵒC

Elementum Liquid Membrane
Elementum Liquid Membrane is a tough; one-part elastomeric
hydrocarbon rubber, polyurethane coating that is loaded with
aerogels for strength. Upon curing, it provides a protective coating
film of superior adhesion and flexibility, and is resistant to abrasion
and impact. It can be used as a primer, as a one-coating system or
as a top coat to seal.

Prime Aerocon is an important milestone in the development of environmentally advanced solutions
for manufacturers of mortars and concrete admixtures. The key technical features of performance
improvements obtained through the application of Prime Aerocon are:
Strength: Compared with unmodified mortars, polymer and aerogel modified mortars have superior
flexural, and impact strengths, excellent abrasion resistance and excellent insulation and sealing
abilities.
Adhesion: Prime Aerocon modified cement mortars have excellent adhesion to a variety of
substrates such as concrete, masonry, brick, wood, metals, and others, will penetrate any substrate,
also due to the ability of aerogels.
Durability: Cement mortars prepared with Prime Aerocon are resistant to many industrial chemicals
and have excellent resistance to ultraviolet light and give heat insulation due to aerogel content.
Curing Advantages: Unlike unmodified mortars, which require laborious moist curing conditions for
optimum strength properties, polymer and aerogel modified mortars should be air cured at ambient
temperature and standard relative humidity
Storage Advantages: Prime Aerocon emulsion is sediment-free and stable to a minimum of five
cycles of freezing at -15°C and thawing at 25°C. In the cold or after prolonged storage, it is desirable
that the emulsion be thoroughly stirred prior using to ensure a completely homogeneous mixture

FORMULATIONS GUIDELINES
Recommendations
For optimum performance of the polymer modified cement mortar, the following recommendations
should be complied with.




Curing Conditions
Air cure conditions should be applied rather than moist cure conditions for optimum
polymer film formation properties
Air Content
Air has an adverse effect on mechanical strength properties of cement mortars, as expressed
by the Ferret’s relationship:

Therefore, when modifying cement mortars with Prime Aerocon, it is important to minimise the air
entrainment due to foaming at a maximum level of 5% by using an appropriate amount of
defoamers. Water Level As a general rule and indicated by the Ferret’s relationship, water should be
held to the lowest amount needed to achieve a suitable working consistency. By using a minimum
amount of water, maximum strength properties are obtained. As Prime Aerocon shows a marked
plasticizing effect, increasing amounts of Prime Aerocon used in the cement mortar require
decreasing amounts of water for a suitable workable consistency. The following defoamers were
found to be efficient in Prime Aerocon at a 0.5% level on emulsion:
Film Formation Properties
Prime Aerocon can be used as such in cementitious compositions at ambient temperatures in the
range: -20 to 60°C on all of its products. These sheets contain pertinent information that you may
need to protect your employees and customers against any known health or safety hazards
associated with our products.

BIOSATIVA is a stunningly effective cleaning product. It is an absolutely
non-polluting, water-soluble fluid which is straw green in colour.
It offers a range of valuable attributes. It is not harmful to surfaces, it is
dermatologically harmless, 100% biodegradable and bio-compatible (no
negative impact on plant, animal or marine life). In addition containers
used to manufacture, transport and dispense Biosativa can be re cycled
and re-used. Biosativa is a completely organic cleaner which uses a new
form of tenside (agents that modify the surface tension of liquids.) The
tensides in Biosativa, which are created in the most part from hemp oil
and yeast, create highly active amphiphilic tensides (both hydrophobic and
hydrophilic compounds). These novel tensides allow Biosativa to offer

Humans have been creating disinfectants for millennia and of course
some are more effective than others; for example we moved from
vinegar to bleach (Sodium hypochlorite) both of which have served
mankind very well. Over recent years we have been using alcohol,
iodine and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect surfaces but the problem with
