1. Come, now is the time to worship. Come, now is the time
to give your heart.

Prayers of the Faithful: Mothers and Sons
Response: We Pray to the Lord
1. For our Mothers and sons, may the Spirit give us strength to work and unite us in truth
and love. We pray for the students at Bellarmine, our young men, that they may discover
a service aspect in their life through Bellarmine’s outreach and social justice programs, and
that we trust in God’s faithfulness to us as we search for deeper meaning in our lives.
Read by: Elizabeth Luna and Felipe Luna (’16)
2. For our Bellarmine Family: That the message of Peace, Hope and Love is evident in their
daily interactions with our sons and families. For our Bellarmine teachers, staff, coaches
and mentors who work with our young men every day, that they will ignite in the hearts and
minds of young people a love for God and for learning. Read by: Patricia Porter and Todd
Goins Porter (’15)
3. For parents, teachers and authority figures in our society, that they may have the courage
and Faith to model and speak God’s words. May our words and actions demonstrate the
Jesuit education of conscious learning and finding God in all things. For the needs of
families facing health or personal struggles, that they be blessed and may they feel supported
by our prayers and loving actions. Read by Sandra Lanoie and Christopher Lanoie (’15)
4. We pray that people may find a joyful faith in their families and encouragement to respond
to a life of service and action. For leaders of countries, that they will always respect the
dignity and worth of each life and use their influence as an extension of God’s will to bring
peace. Read by Selina Ordaz and Ricardo Avila (’15)
5. For the communities in our nation and our world where there is prejudice and hate, that
working together, Mothers and Sons, our Bellarmine community, nations and leaders of
the world will end inequality and injustice. On this, the eve of the 5th Anniversary of the
2010 earthquake in Haiti, we pray for continued support as the nation rebuilds and heals its
wounds. May the global community be generous to peoples with immediate needs.
Read by Shawn Descourouez and Drew Descourouez(’15)
6. For the people in our own nation who are able to use their gifts and talents, may they be
guided by compassion and kindness for the good of others. We pray for our community
and for all who live and work in this area. That you help us to share all the gifts that you
have given to us and lead us to work for peace and justice. Read by Alice Ng Chow and
Chris Chow (’15)
Exchange of Peace & Roses: Ushered by Isaac Ruiz (’16) & Peter Hoang (’16)
Communion Song: One Bread, One Cup
We all come before you now, hungry for your healing touch.
Here we stand with open hearts, thirsting for your love.
You are the one who fills our every need.
So with one voice we lift our hearts in unity.
Refrain
One bread, one cup, one body of Christ, United in love.
One bread, one cup, one living sacrifice, Poured out in your blood.
Holy Spirit, renew us, That in each other we may see you.
Gathered as one family in love, One bread, one cup.
As we gather at your table, Broken like the bread we share,
Fill our hearts with your compassion, For a world in need of care.
You are the way, You are the life, You are the truth.
The sources of our salvation, we find new life in you.

Closing Remarks: Alejandro Shylowski (’16)
Final Blessing:Father Sheridan
Recessional:
Lead Me, Lord
Blessed are the poor in spirit, longing for their Lord,
for God’s coming kingdom shall be theirs.
Blessed are the sorrowing, for they shall be consoled
And the meek shall come to rule the world.
Refrain
Lead me, Lord, lead me, Lord, by the light of truth
to seek and to fin the narrow way.
Be my way; be my truth; be my life, my Lord,
and lead me, Lord, today.
Blessed are the merciful, for mercy shall be theirs,
and the pure in heart shall see their God.
Blest are they whose hunger only holiness can fill,
For I say they shall be satisfied.
