Soo Jin was formerly a Principal with Egon Zehnder and a Senior Consultant with Korn Ferry before
establishing Amrop International in Singapore in 1984. Previously Marketing Manager with Smith &
Nephew Sdn Bhd, a Lecturer in Business Administration at the University of Singapore and held
special projects and internal audit positions with the Shell Company of Australia.
Soo Jin has been in Executive Search since 1977 and has helped to pioneer search work in Singapore
and the ASEAN region. He has particular expertise in the Financial Services, Consumer & Retail and
Education sectors.
Soo Jin has a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, Melbourne, and MBA from the
University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Soo Jin is a Member of the National University of Singapore Business School Management Advisory
Board, a Vice Chairman, Governing Council of the Singapore Institute of Management, Chairman of
its Remuneration Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee and the Campus
Development Committee. Formerly a Board Member of the Singapore National Library Board and
Chairman of its Ethics Committee as well as Chairman of its Establishment Committee.
