The Nagoya Expressway Pass (NEP) is now available. It offers visitors a
way to use the Nagoya Expressway at an inexpensive, unlimited flat rate.
A first-time collaboration between the Nagoya Expressway Public Corporation and the
Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited in order to expand inbound tourism.
The Nagoya Expressway Public Corporation will begin selling the Nagoya Expressway Pass (NEP)
starting February 1, 2016, which allows unlimited use of the entire Nagoya Expressway. This pass
is available for visitors who are already using the Central Nippon Expressway Pass (CEP) sold by
the Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited.
By using the CEP/NEP, the expressway can be used to drive from within Nagoya to destinations such
as Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, and Ise-Shima at an inexpensive, unlimited flat rate.
In the past, when visitors using the CEP drove on the Nagoya Expressway, it was necessary to pay
additional costs for expressway fares after returning to the rental car agency. Now that visitors
can apply for the NEP in addition to the CEP, the expressways have become even easier to use. Visitors
using the Chubu Centrair International Airport and those staying or sightseeing in Nagoya will find
that using a rental car and CEP/NEP together is convenient and a good value.
<Advantages of the CEP and NEP>

This pass offers unlimited use of expressways within the designated area for a period of
2 to 14 days at a flat rate. CEP and NEP users can enjoy visiting fascinating and enjoyable
tourist destinations such as Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Mount Fuji and Kyoto.

The customers pay a flat fee prior to using the expressways and use the ETC lane, allowing
them to pass through the toll plazas without stopping to pay. This makes it a highly convenient
product for visiting foreigners not familiar with Japanese expressways.
1. Available period
To October 31, 2016 (Monday)
(Available for 2 – 14 consecutive days during this period.)
2. Availability
Persons bearing passports of a foreign country and Japanese persons who are permanent residents
of a foreign country(However the person must have a driver's license that is valid for use in Japan.)
3. Valid vehicle types
Use is limited to the ETC-equipped vehicles (standard-size automobiles) that are provided by the
rental car companies and the ETC credit cards that are also provided by the rental car companies.

CEP: All expressway sections that are managed by Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited
Sections from the Yokaichi IC and Koka-Tsuchiyama IC to the Kyoto-Minami IC
NEP: All roads maintained by the Nagoya Expressway Public Corporation

6. Using the CEP and NEP
(1) Contact the customer service desk or reservation center of a participating rental car agency
and reserve a vehicle, Central Nippon Expressway Pass (CEP) and Nagoya Expressway Pass(NEP). This
pass can only be used at designated locations (listed on the attached sheet). The following
business hours are shown in Japan Standard Time (UTC+09:00).

(2) Pay for the CEP and NEP at the rental car agency office.
(3) Rent the vehicle and ETC card from the rental car agency office. (In addition to rental car
costs, an additional charge may apply for renting the ETC card.)
(4) Enjoy traveling on Japan's expressways.
(5) Return the vehicle and ETC card to the rental car agency office and pay for any expressway fees
incurred in areas not covered by the CEP and NEP.
