Risk Takers and Pizza Makers: Kansas Entrepreneurs
A guided tour for fourth grade
Kansas Museum of History • Topeka
The Kansas Museum of History in Topeka is providing an
opportunity for teachers to combine Kansas standards
with a unique educational experience!
The Risk Takers tour covers the contributions of famous
Kansas entrepreneurs, including Joseph McCoy, Fred
Harvey, Walter Anderson, and Dan and Frank Carney.
Students will make their own personal-size pizzas using
standardized fast food techniques learned from the tour.
The tour addresses grade-specific standards and
provides pre- and post-visit material to help teachers
meet those standards.
Information:
Schedule tours at least two weeks in advance.
