1. Replacement of the Black background ( for ADF unit)
(1) Open the ADF unit with the ADF Open/Shut lever slid.
(2) Peal off a edge of white back ground (left or Right) with using the flat blade screw driver.

(3) Holding its edge and peel it off completely.

(4) Moisten a cloth with the ethyl alcohol.

(5) Clean the ADF’s sheet sticking part with the cloth with alcohol.

(6) Peel off a mount of black back ground carefully from its edge (Left or Right).
And stick the black back ground carefully to the sheet sticking part.

(7) Stick the black back ground carefully from the edge to edge.

(8) Complete the replacement.

2. Replacement of the Black background (for Flat Bed unit).
(1) Remove the Document cover unit.
(The white sheet stuck on the back side of document cover unit.)
Clean this white sheet with the cloth with ethyl alcohol.

(2) Put together the edge of black back ground sheet with the white back ground’s one.

(3) Peel off a mount of black back ground carefully from the edge (Left or Right).
Then stick the black back ground sheet over the white back ground with adjusted
the place of edge.

(4) Hold down the black back ground from the edge by hand,
and sticking it on with the air out.
Peel the protective sheet off from the surface of the black back ground after stuck it
completely.
*< Protective sheet > Black back ground for FB: Exist; Black back ground for ADF: Not exist.

(5) Complete the replacement.

3. Replacement of the EPROM.
(1) Replace the EPROM.
(2) Change the # 33 address data of EEPROM from X'00' to X'04'.
