Gan Chamesh Newsletter Morah Donna Morah Shayna Rochel Morah Hillary THE PURPLE PAPERS WHAT, OH WHAT, IS THE PARSHA OF THE WEEK? In Parshas Vayechi, we learned that Yaakov was very old and wanted to give b'rachos to his grandsons, Menashe and Ephraim. After saying "Hamalach Hago'el", Yaakov switched his hands so that his right hand was on the younger son, Ephraim. We have added Hamalach to our davening explaining that many people say this before they go to sleep. This way (we hope) you will go to sleep with a smile and wake up with one as well because Hashem is always watching over you. Yaakov also gave b'rachos to his sons comparing them to various animals. Yehuda was given the strength of a lion and Binyomin was given the ability to fight his enemies like a wolf. ART CENTER It was so much fun painting our Hamalach pictures. We used toothbrushes to remind us that we also have to brush our teeth before we go to sleep. The paint is glow in the dark so we can see it even when we turn off the lights We never have to be scared even when we are alone or sleeping because Hashem is always watching us. Practicing what Yaakov did with his hands is one thing we can do with our Menashe and Ephraim pictures. ALEF BAIS FUN Lulav, lev and Aviv all have the letter vais in them. It looks like a bais but doesn’t have a belly button. We love learning the alef bais. CHAZAK CHAZAK VANITCHZEK We had such a great time reminiscing about Sefer Beresheis. The children had wonderful recall, about Noach's teiva, Avraham's tent with four doors, Yosef's coat of many colors and Paroh's dreams. Our siyum was such a blast, wearing our hats, singing, marching, and of course noshing on the special chocolate cake we made for the occasion.
