Quick Reference Guide Using Follett Remote for Offline Circulation Follett Remote can help you check materials out and in during your conversion to Destiny®. It also provides circulation capabilities in the event Destiny becomes suddenly unavailable due to connectivity issues, once your migration is complete. Preparing for Use It’s important to prepare for offline circulation prior to use. The following list of items will help you ensure you are ready: • Designate one workstation per site for the purpose of offline circulation. Download and install the Follett Remote utility on this workstation. • Print or acquire a list of patron barcodes sorted alphabetically by last name or by homeroom. Scannable barcodes are preferred. Important: You must use the same patron barcode numbers that will be used in Destiny (most commonly the patron’s district id) or you will not be able to consolidate transactions if the patron barcodes do not match. • Test the utility by checking a few items out and in. Be sure to delete the practice files, to avoid confusion later. Downloading Follett Remote The Follett Remote utility can be downloaded and installed by accessing one of the following hyperlinks.
