Education is a very important issue for the Turkish speaking community in Britain, particularly for those from Turkey. This organisation aims to support Turkish expatriates in their efforts to integrate into British society at the same time as helping them not to forget their ethnic heritage. The organisation helps the prevention and relief and poverty, health, sickness, distress and all related needs amongst the Turkish community especially focusing on young people. It is the only organisation of its kind in the United Kingdom. The aims of the project are to raise awareness of this condition, provide emotional support, and address isolation, particularly among people from ethnic minority groups and people of African/Caribbean origin, but it is not exclusive. The project seeks to provide a help line and to work in partnership with other relevant local, national, voluntary and statutory organisations.
