KG Knutsson AB of Sweden is a general agent for a number world
leading brands of high tech products for the car and marine market.
Anew 33,000 m² central warehouse was opened in September 2009
located in Enköping.
KGK is expanding and as a result of more agencies, new products and
their many small warehouses a requirement was created for a
warehouse rationalisation. This resulted in the new plant at Enköping.
From KG Knutsson's point of view this was an optimal logistical location
due to its proximity to the large market in the Stockholm area.
Solution:
The new warehouse is expected to house 65,000 articles. The core
storage equipment is a mini load installation running 24 hours a day and a
pallet rack installation supplied with mesh shelves and tailor made
storage systems for, amongst other things, the complex storage of
exhaust pipes. The high rise, pallet racking section of the warehouse has
35.000 addresses.

Pallet racking P90 High rise system, 25,000 locations.
Height 10 m. Picking level 4.5 m. Special designed accessories for odd
and large products + mesh shelves.
