We would like to appoint motivational, inspiring and driven individuals to become part of a select elite personal training team for Active Tameside. Active Tameside will; 1 Offer superior support to become an established Personal Trainer within Active Tameside’s facilities. 2 Offer very competitive member/PT ratios to allow the build-up of a personal client base. 3 Provide a robust training programme including financial management, marketing & promotions and access to further CPD courses. 4 Provide an all-inclusive gym membership to use across all facilities. 5 Allow access for non members to access facilities if undertaking a PT session at PAYG rate. 6 Support with marketing opportunities on Active Tameside’s website, social media promotion and printing of individual business cards. 7 Provide full Active Tameside Personal Trainers uniform. Personal Trainer will; 1 Hold a minimum Level 3 Reps Qualification and have experience of devising and delivering personal physical activity programmes to customers. 2 Have confidence and personality to engage and further retain members within facilities. 3 Help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals and offer dedicated support to assist with this. 4 Undertake group fitness classes and/or member inductions as part payment for facility rental. 5 Have full use of all equipment, fitness suite and studio (when not in use) to train clients 6 Be able to work own hours to meet the needs of clients outside any minimum contracted sessions. 7 Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act, Sports Trust Policy and Procedure and Codes of Safe Working Practice. 2 Member to PT Ratios To ensure our Personal Trainers succeed within our gyms Active Tameside will beat competitors when it comes to our member/PT ratio. Our ratios will not go below 1 PT/600 member ratio, making us the most competitive company around. Our Personal Trainers will have access to two financial packages in return for use of facilities and access to Active Tameside’s member audience. 3 Option 1 Rent = £0 Set Hours = 5 classes delivered per week Access = Unlimited access to gym for promotional purposes Option 2 Rent = £200 per month Set Hours = 0 classes delivered per week. Access = Unlimited access to gym for promotional purposes Terms and Conditions For successful employees there are a range of terms and conditions to be aware of; All clients will be booked in and managed by the Personal Trainer themselves any cash transactions go directly to the trainer. Personal Trainers will be requested to attend facility meetings as and when required. Active Tameside will expect Personal Trainers to keep reasonable records of work and have responsibility for their own Tax and National Insurance as requested by HMRC. Should the Personal Trainer be working under Option 1 effort must be made to instruct all classes where programmed. Failure to meet this criteria will result in a nominal charge unless in exceptional circumstances. Personal trainers will be expected to wear Active Tameside Personal Trainers uniform whilst working on the premises. Personal Trainers are responsible for their own and clients health and safety needs when working on Active Tameside’s premises. Personal Trainers will only be able to train Active Tameside members and PAYG users within Active Tameside facilities. Active Tameside reserves the right to terminate the agreement at any time should it not be deemed successful to either party. Code of Conduct Personal Trainers must operate the highest degree of professionalism when dealing with their client’s needs. Personal trainers will demonstrate and promote a responsible lifestyle and conduct. Personal Trainers will be expected to prepare in advance for sessions in order to assist the client to meet their individual goals. 4 Correct uniform must be worn and individuals must show a professional image at all times. Active Tameside expects its personal trainers to interact with all members and make them feel welcomed within the facilities. Constructive and positive feedback must be given to clients before, during and after sessions. Use of inappropriate language will not be tolerated. It is expected that Personal Trainers will have excellent timekeeping skills and arrive in advance of sessions to greet and welcome clients into facilities. Personal Trainers must notify the Assistant Service Managers when they are to be expected within buildings. For any illness or last minute absence they must inform both the facility and any clients booked in for the duration of the absence.
