SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The remarkable feature of the VIVO TURBO/PLUS are its
whirl nozzles. Each individual nozzle sucks in the water and
whirls it back into the pool as a water massage jet, either
pure or enriched with air. The whirl intensity reaches from
gentle strokes activating the sensory hair to a powerful and
extensive massage of the skin, hypodermis and muscular
system. An interval timer for an invigorating whirl bath
rounds off the supply. In addition, the nozzles can be optimally adjusted to suit your individual height. After the bath,
the nozzles drain automatically, thus meeting the highest
demands on hygiene.
THE VIVO TURBO/PLUS WHIRL SYSTEM
Lpa < 70 dB (A)
This value does not refer to the measurement pursuant
to DIN standard 52219 (”Sound insulation in buildings”)
which is satisfied at a maximum value of 30 dB (A) (measured with regard to the customer’s requirements and after
installation of the Kaldewei bathtub sound absorbing set).
Each Kaldewei whirl system is guaranteed for 4 years. This
additional guarantee is only effective in the area of the European Union and European Economic Area and can only
be extended to other countries by special agreement. In all
other countries, the legal guarantee provisions shall apply.

SAFETY NOTES
The installation of the whirlpool, the
electrical connection and the remedy
of malfunctions and defects must be
carried out by a specialized dealer who
is able to prove to the authorities concerned his knowledge and competence
as to the application of the national
safety regulations, e.g. with regard to
the power and water supply/discharge.
Never allow small children to be unattended while in a whirlpool bath. It is
to be ensured that children do not play
with the components of the whirlpool
tub (control panel, massage nozzles)
either before, during or after a whirlpool
bath.
The whirlpool tub should not be used
by persons (including children under
8 years of age) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lacking
experience and/or knowledge. A permissible exception is that they are attended
by a person responsible for their safety
or that they get instructions by this person how to use the whirlpool tub.
Do not use electrical appliances (such
as hair dryers or shavers) near the whirlpool even if the whirlpool is not being
used. Electrical appliances in the bathroom have to be placed or attached
such that they cannot fall into the whirlpool.
For safety reasons, you must not dive
in the whirlpool with the whirl system
switched on.
3
The whirl system must only be used
with the nozzle parts completely mounted and undamaged. Missing or defective parts have to be replaced.
Cleaning and user maintenance may
not be carried out by children.
D
GB
F
Please observe the cleaning and care
instructions for the whirl system (see page
10).
Mount a suitable handrail to get out of
the whirlpool safely (to be obtained in
specialist shops).
You must not place any objects in the
openings of the massage nozzles while
the whirl system is switched either on
or off.
When taking a whirl bath, do not use
soap or any other foam or oil baths.
Use the essences specifically made for
whirl baths only (see manufacturer’s instructions).
The whirlpool may only be used to take
a whirl bath and to clean your body. Do
not place any objects into the whirlpool.

MEDICINAL ADVICE
From the point of view of spa doctors (balneologists), the
following advice is of fundamental importance.
GB
The movements of the water further the heat absorption and dissipation of the body. These changes in the body temperature result in an activation
of the circulation (strain on the cardiovascular
system).
F
Persons suffering from diseases of the central or
peripheral circulatory system (coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, cardiac insufficiency,
peripheral arterial occlusive disease) should on
principle consult their attending physician. But in
general, a water temperature which is similar to
the body temperature should be preferred.
E
The water jet leaving the massage nozzles has a
massaging effect. With diseases of the leg veins
(varicose veins, thrombosis), medical advice should
be taken. In general, low massaging effects and
cool water temperatures should be preferred.
When getting out of a bathtub (whirlpool), there
might be a sensation of dizziness affecting your
balance and perception and causing a fall. If you
tend to get dizzy, you should avoid getting up
abruptly, choose a cool to indifferent water temperature, give your legs a cold shower from the feet
up to your head and use a suitable essence (horse
chestnut, rosemary). Ask your local dealer about
access or other bathtub aids.
In case of doubt, you should on principle consult your physician if you suffer from one of the above mentioned diseases or in the case of any other risks to your health.

Taking a bath in the whirlpool can be relaxing or stimulating, it can be good for your health or regenerating. Taken
properly, it may give you a carefree feeling. We have listed
a few useful suggestions below which may help you feel fit
and healthy.
DRAIN AND OVERFLOW FITTINGS
MASSAGE NOZZLES
The valve cone on the bottom of the bathtub is moved by
turning the setting knob (A or, respectively, B) of the drain
and overflow fittings.
The swivelling inserts (A) of the massage nozzles are adjustable. By resetting the swivelling inserts (A), you can
individually adjust the nozzles to your height.
GB
TURNING CLOCKWISE
The valve cone (C) on the bottom of the bathtub is lowered
and the whirlpool can be filled with water.
F
TURNING COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
A
The valve cone (C) on the bottom of the bathtub is lifted
and the water runs out.

WHIRL OPERATION (ON/OFF) KEY
Requirement: The whirl operation is switched on, not set
to minimum intensity and the interval function is switched
off.
to switch the whirl operation on and off
Starting condition: Whirl in operation at medium intensity.
AIR MIXING KEY
to switch the air admixture on and off
Requirement: The whirl operation cannot be switched on
until the minimum water level (2 cm above level sensor)
has been reached.
Air is added to the massage jet by pressing the AIR MIXING
key. The quantity of the air added depends on the selected
intensity (speed) of the VIVO TURBO nozzle.
The on-period of the whirl system is limited to 30 minutes.
Thereafter, the system has to be switched on again.
Low intensity = small amount of air added.
High intensity = large amount of air added.
LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES (GREEN)
to indicate the whirl intensity
Diodes light up: The light-emitting diodes indicate that
the whirl system is switched on. The number of light-emitting diodes lighting up shows the whirl intensity.
LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE (RED)
Diode flashes: The light-emitting diode indicates that,
with the whirl and/or lighting switched on, the water level
has fallen below the required level. The whirl operation
and/or the lighting is switched off.
Diode lights up: A flashing of the red diode shows that
the WHIRL OPERATION (ON/OFF), PLUS, MINUS, INTERVAL
or lighting keys have been actuated although the water
level is not sufficient to switch on the whirl system.
7
Requirement: The whirl operation is switched on.
Due to hydraulic effects, the air admixture takes
place with a time lag after actuation of the key.
This time lag depends on the selected intensity of
the VIVO TURBO nozzle and may vary from nozzle
to nozzle.
INTERVAL KEY
to switch the interval function on and off
Automatic increase or lowering of the whirl intensity during
the on-time. The interval operation alternates between the
possible minimum whirl intensity and the whirl intensity set
before the interval operation was switched on. During the
interval operation, the maximum whirl intensity can be adjusted by means of the (+) and (-) keys.
Requirement: The whirl operation is switched on.

The whirlpool can be cleaned easily and without any effort.
With the correct care and proper treatment, you will enjoy
your whirlpool for a long time.
Please observe the cleaning and care instructions to avoid
any technical defects.
• Normally, it is sufficient to rinse the whirlpool with hot
water and to wipe it out with a soft and dustfree cloth or
chamois after taking a bath.
• If slightly soiled, a cleansing agent with a neutral pHvalue (5-7, e.g. washing-up liquid or neutral soap) and a
soft sponge and/or cloth should be used.
VIVO TURBO
• If badly soiled, the deposits should be soaked for a
while (approx. 10-15 minutes) and the pool should then
be cleaned again, if necessary.
• With lime deposits: Remove deposits with a water/vinegar solution (ratio 1:1, no vinegar concentrate) or with
a dilute deliming agent.
To avoid lime deposits, keep the fittings tightly closed and
remove any residual water left in the pool after you have
taken a bath.
Use liquid household cleansing agents available on
the market only. Observe the respective manufacturer’s instructions.
CLEANING THE DRAIN AND
OVERFLOW FITTINGS
The surfaces of the drain and overflow fittings are rinsed
with hot water and wiped dry with a soft and dustfree cloth
or chamois.
If the waste pipe is soiled or clogged, it can be cleaned by
means of cleansing agents available on the market.
When using cleansing agents, please, observe the
manufacturer‘s instructions and warning notes.
To clean the whirl system, it is sufficient to shortly rinse
the drained whirlpool with water, holding the water jet into
every massage nozzle for approx. 2 to 3 seconds.
CLEANING THE MASSAGE NOZZLES
If the massage nozzles are badly soiled, the swivelling insert (A) is moved several times (cleared) and finally rinsed
with fresh water.
CLEANING THE SUCTION COLLAR
If the suction collar (B) is soiled, the impurities (e.g. hair)
are removed manually and the collar is finally rinsed with
fresh water.
B
10
GB
F
CLEANING THE MASSAGE NOZZLES
Do not use scouring or sand-containing cleansing
agents. Chlorine-containing disinfectants or aggressive cleaners (e.g. acetone, cellulose thinner,
naphtha) may attack or bleach the coated whirlpool components and enamelled surfaces.
Only use soft cloths or sponges to clean the surfaces. Under no circumstances should scrubbing
brushes/sponges, steel wool or other tools be
used.

CLEANING THE WHIRLPOOL
MAINTENANCE OF THE MASSAGE NOZZLES
The cleaning intervals depend on the frequency at
which the whirlpool is used. Kaldewei recommends
to check the whirl system every three months and
to clean it, if necessary. Should a loss of efficiency
of the whirl system be found beforehand, the massage nozzles have to be serviced immediately.
If the cleaning and maintenance notes are not observed, the effectiveness of the mounted suction
collar is not guaranteed.
VIVO TURBO
Before carrying out any cleaning and maintenance
work, the whirl system has to be switched off via
the external main switch.
The whirl system must only be used with the
massage nozzle parts completely mounted and
undamaged. Missing or defective parts have to be
replaced.

11
If the parts are badly soiled, use household cleansing agents only and observe the manufacturer‘s
instructions. If there are lime deposits, remove
deposits with a water/vinegar solution (ratio 1:1,
no vinegar concentrate) or with a dilute deliming
agent.
• Fasten jet control (D), swivelling ring (E) and fastening
ring (A) with suction collar (B) and closing ring (F) by
means of the attached mounting wrench (C).
The fastening ring (A) has to be tightened such that
it can only be loosened by means of the attached
mounting wrench (C); with the jet control (D) still
free to move.

Operating Instructions
To guarantee the effectiveness of the mounted suction collar (protection of the whirl system against the sucking in of
hair), the massage nozzles require regular maintenance.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
It may happen occasionally that the controller of the whirl
system no longer reacts to the signals of the membrane
keypad. This problem can be remedied by means of a ”restart”, disconnecting the whirl system from the supply.
In the case of malfunctions and defects of the whirl system, please, inform an authorized dealer or the Kaldewei
after-sales service.
In this case, you should have the name and serial number
of your whirl system (see cover of manual) ready.
• Switch off the whirl system via the main switch, the
earth leakage circuit breaker or the fuses for at least
three seconds.
• Switch the whirl system back on.
The installation of the whirlpool, the electrical
connection and the remedy of malfunctions and
defects must be carried out by a specialized dealer
who is able to prove to the authorities concerned
his knowledge and competence as to the application of the national safety regulations, e.g. with
regard to the power and water supply/discharge.
VIVO TURBO
The inspection chamber of the whirl system may be
opened by authorized dealers or by the Kaldewei
after-sales service only.
