The ICS 300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
The City of Roanoke will be sponsoring an ICS-300 Course. The ICS 300:
Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents component is intended for those who
may fill supervisory level positions during an incident and those who may be in
command and general staff positions within the ICS structure. In this course, you
will prepare a briefing, lead or participate in a planning meeting, identify
resources, develop goals, prepare an incident action plan, and become more
familiar with the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
To be NIMS compliant, this class is a requirement of all department directors and
managers as well as those personnel operating at the General Staff and/or
Command Staff level within a public agency or organization.

Prerequisites: Completion of IS-100 and IS-200 must show proof of completion on first day of
class
