Monument Top Shapes
The two most common cuts are the straight and serp tops. Tops can also be cut with an oval, roof,
ridge, and apex shape.

Monument Side Shapes
Sides are usually cut straight although a cost effective alternative is the tapered end option. Specialty
cuts include the convex, concave, single nosing, and double nosing end.

Upright Monument Accents
After selecting the top and side cuts, there are several additional options you can select as accents.
The two top corners are often cut with a round, chamfer, Scotia, ogee, rabbet, check, or a simple margin accent. These options look very attractive when combined with a straight polished top. All
accents are sized according to the dimensions of the monument.
