What were the responsibilities of a Pharaoh? Would you have liked to be a pharaoh back in ancient Egypt? Why or why not? 2. How were Government Officials selected? Do you think this was a fair system of choosing government officials? Why or why not? 3. Name 3 tasks that a scribe had to do. 4. Why were scribes such an important part of ancient Egyptian life and how are they important to us today? 5. Which Mesopotamian group had the most people in it? (Slaves, Farmers and Laborers, etc.) 6. Which Mesopotamian group had the least amount of people in it? (Slaves, Farmers and Laborers, etc.) 7. How is the social hierarchy of ancient Egypt different from the social hierarchy in the Mesopotamia? Use your Mesopotamia notes if you need to. 8. What are some of things an artisan did in Ancient Egypt? 9. Which group of people was at the bottom of the Social Hierarchy pyramid in Mesopotamia? 10. How did one become a slave in Mesopotamia? 11. What do you think would have happened to Egyptian society if the farmers, servants, and slaves refused to do the work they were supposed to? Remember, the Egyptians depended on them to get certain work done. 12. What do you think makes a good leader? Once you have completed the notes, please show and email them to Mrs. Z/Ms. Myles.
